“Boqueria UES is a great spot if you’re looking for delicious food in a more upscale setting. The atmosphere was on the quieter side when I went for lunch, which made it feel relaxed and comfortable. I enjoyed the tapas-style menu because it gives you the chance to try a variety of dishes instead of just ordering one main meal, though if you’re a bigger eater, you may want to order a few extra plates. The food was delicious, flavorful, and well-prepared. The presentation was also very nice, and everything felt thoughtfully put together. Since the portions are meant for sharing, it’s a fun place to order a few different dishes and enjoy them together. Overall, Boqueria UES is a solid choice.”
“If you really want to enjoy original Tapas and you don’t have the time to go to Barcelona or some of the many other wonderful destinations in Spain then get over to Boqueria at 1460 2nd Ave in NYC. By the time you leave you’ll have felt like you enjoyed a meal with the locals in Espana. We first went 3 weeks ago and we were both impressed but I was curious enough to want to go back again to see if it was the real deal and by writing this review you can judge for yourself. I just want to acknowledge Jose the host who did a great job by getting us set up with a table within minutes of our appointed time and to the excellent wait staff too. As in NYC you have all kinds of restaurant, eating establishments etc. as they do in Spain, however Spain seems to have a wealth of Tapas restaurants and eateries where there are small Share plates with one or 2 bites on some and a few more on others. On our first visit we sampled many of the offerings but last night we shared 10 though we ordered 2 duplicates along with a very refreshing pitcher of sangria. We enjoyed the Serrano ham, the renown Manchego cheese, the anchovies, the fried calamari, the tuna, the gambas, (shrimp,) 2 plates of the pulpo, (octopus,) 2 Bikini serano sandwiches, and the special chocolate cheese cake from Basque. I’ll add photos with the labels for each serving. Like I said before if you’ve ever wanted to go to Spain for authentic Spanish food but haven’t had the opportunity here’s your chance to do it in NYC! Thank you all for a great meal!”
“Elegant, rustic Spanish-style tapas with strong execution and bold flavors. The charcuterie board was well-balanced — quality cured meats (salami, chorizo, jamón) paired with pickled peppers and toasted bread for texture contrast. The shrimp in garlic sauce was rich and comforting, perfect for dipping bread. The seafood rice delivered depth, with mussels, clams, scallops, and shrimp layered over a savory base and bright herb drizzle. The steak over purée was tender and flavorful, elevated by chimichurri and citrus. Even the roasted Brussels sprouts stood out — caramelized, slightly crispy, with a salty.”
“Staff , food, music level, cocktails and wine list an A+++. There is a reason it’s our go to spot. Grateful for Peter the manager - his hospitality, consistent fun/sweet energy and professionalism, as well as our lovely bartender / Server Rodrigo. Wonderful 45th bday celebration. Thank you”
“Surprisingly delicious and packed for a Thursday night. Every dish hit—nothing missed. Lively energy, great flavors, and absolutely worth a return visit.”
