Two new high style projects in a historic Nomad hotel, The Tusk Bar is a cocktail and oyster bar with its next door restaurant sibling BRASS offering an elegant yet playful menu from Michelin-starred chefs Jeremiah Stone and Fabián von Hauske Valtierra (Wildair, Bar Contra). Join us at The Tusk Bar (named a best bar in America by Esquire) for carefully made cocktails and seafood small plates or at BRASS for a brasserie-inspired dinner reimagined for a new golden era of dining out in New York City. Both spaces are located through the lobby of the turn–of-the-century Evelyn hotel (est. 1903) and welcome walk-ins, as well as accepting reservations.
“Marko Simonovski, General Manager, delivered an exceptional experience that exceeded expectations. Tyler and Emma further elevated our visit with their professionalism and attentiveness. Emma created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel truly at home, while Tyler demonstrated a natural ability to provide service at a refined, five-star level. This was our second visit, and we continue to appreciate the outstanding dining experience, inviting ambiance, and consistently high standard of service. Brass exemplifies excellence in both cuisine and hospitality. Thank you once again to Marko, Tyler, and Emma for making our Wednesday evening so memorable. I highly recommend this beautiful NYC location.”
“We’ve been meaning to pop in here for a while and so glad we finally did. On a Friday at about 7pm, the hostess helped us grab a couple of seats at the bar. The atmosphere is awesome and vibes are lively. Daniel and Jacob were masters behind the bar, perfectly attentive and walked us through a fantastic cocktail program. Daniel set me up with one of each of the mini martinis, like a flight. Each paired with an oyster (great concept!), they were all lovely with the horse collar having a deep beet red color and complex flavor profile. My wife had the Mignonette Martini, which hit all of her favorite flavors (“Maybe best drink I’ve ever had”). The food was great as well. Try the Duck Sausage Fried Olives.”
“Stylish and intimate cocktail bar with a calm, upscale vibe. Sitting at the bar is the best experience, especially if you like watching the bartenders work. Drinks are well crafted and creative. The horse collar martini with an oyster is a fun touch and worth trying. Everything feels thoughtful and polished. Great spot for a quiet date or a relaxed night out without the chaos.”
“We showed up early to our reservation but Victoria, the host, was so kind and accommodating. We got sat quickly after arriving. the vibe of the space was amazing, the bar and menu are beautiful. it’s lively and fun without being too loud. the service was incredible. Nicole, Cameron, Josen, and Marco made our experience so special. Ask for them if you want attentive and personable service. The standouts were the pastel sour and the croustade. overall an amazing experience, will definitely be retuning.”
“I can’t say enough about how lovely every one of my experiences at Tusk Bar has been. I’ve worked in bars and restaurants for a decade so I’m picky about where I spend my time. Tusk Bar has a stunning cocktail menu—my favorite being the martini options. Some standouts for me are the Horse Collar martini, which is paired with a single oyster to enjoy while sipping. I’m not kidding when I say I’ll crave this daily! I also love the Mignonette Gibson. They also have mini versions of select martinis and I just think that’s so thoughtful and fun. For food I’ll ALWAYS get the oysters (they’re SO fresh), fries, and their fish tartare option. The entire bar staff feels like family right from the start, and they’re just incredibly accommodating and kind. Jackson is a standout though, he’ll always go out of his way to make sure you’re well taken care of. Also last time I was there Perrin was behind the bar and she made my friend the yummiest bespoke cocktail. It’s a bonus that she’s so fun to talk to! Don’t think about it, just go! You won’t regret it.”
