Situated on the corner of St. Mark’s Place and 2nd avenue, Café Maud is a neighborhood café & bar serving breakfast through to dinner with a focus on hand-crafted cocktails made with freshly prepared ingredients. Café Maud draws inspiration from the classic New York café while boasting a comprehensive, health-conscious breakfast and lunch menu. The Cafe transitions seamlessly from day to night by pulling from the Jackdaw team’s extensive savoir-faire of NY nightlife. Dinner and bar service, starting from golden hour to late, complement the space’s already lively feel. The interior décor is reminiscent of a café in Australia or Bali with an open, airy layout and a laid back feel. Find hints of its Irish-owned heritage through subtle accents such as its green, Connemara Irish marble bar. In the back of Café Maud, search out the discreet, cobblestone corridor that leads to 37 ½ St. Marks Place, where The Rhymers’ Club lives…
“Literally a wonderful brunch place! Their food is really good, and fresh and whole. We got a fresh juice, and an amazing Chai. They are very accommodating and understanding and kind staff and facility. We also had an Irish waiter! I hope he still works there! Very friendly!”
“Went to Cafe Maud’s coffee window and my friend and I ordered a Maple Latte and a Strawberry Matcha. Both were delicious, my friend said he was “very impressed” with his maple latte. The matcha had oat milk, per my request, and it was still creamy and frothy… and the strawberry flavor was not too sweet! We went at a time when there was no line, and the service was very polite, efficient, and friendly. Was nice they brought out the drinks without the lids so we could see their beautiful latte art, but also provided lids on the side without us needing to ask. Will definitely be back!”
“Perfect cozy brunch spot for a quiet morning! Service was attentive and quick for a Tuesday morning. Loved the elote avocado toast - the bread wasn't hard (the kind where you feel like you have to saw through it and break your teeth) and the corn was flavorful! The biscuit with butter and jam was AMAZING, it reminded me of biscuits I had while visiting the countryside in England this summer. Definitely stop in!”
“Stopped by while in town for a work trip. Was able to find a seat at the bar right away. The service was attentive, ambiance fun and food tasty”
“We cane as a family after my daughter's graduation. The Smash Burger, fries and frozen Aperol Spritz were worth the visit. They were all delicious and tasted literally out of this world! Very friendly hostess and personable enough waitress. Pizza was a bit too doughy...however, everyone ended their meals. We all agreed that we would return!”
