Jackdaw is a neighborhood hangout serving an extensive craft beer & hand crafted cocktail menu. Our food menu while being contemporary modern American has subtle hints of Irish and Asian influence. Our Brunch menu is ever evolving and has the option of 2 for 1 Brunch Cocktails. Being Irish owned, Jackdaw shows subtle hints of Irish influence through its gin and food menus. With inspirations coming from County Sligo, Ireland and the poetry of W.B. Yeats, perhaps the most Irish of details is the friendly approach to customer service throughout!
“I'm writing 5 🌟 because I'd never try to destroy a business over something petty. But WHY did you change your French fries?! I woke up this morning and said, "Is it weird if we go to Jackdaw just because I want their fries?" Imagine my surprise when these come out. You had the best fries in the neighborhood. I've hosted brunches here because I wanted the fries. If it ain't broke don't fix it. ♥️ (Also: amazing drink and service as always) #justiceforcajunfries”
“Came here for brunch with friends for a birthday and stayed for quite a while. Booth up front was cozy and we all had delicious food, lived my beanstalk burrito and the apple cinnamon margarita was phenomenal. We later moved to the bar and had more drinks but the vibes were high from start to finish. I have to say the music they played in there was a 10 out 10. The variety was current and fresh but classics for your typical millennial. All the bartenders are Irish with the cutest faces and accents. Next time im back in the city I wouldnt mind popping back in.”
“Love this place! Very cozy atmosphere, waitstaff was very accommodating for my large group. Loved the drink specials they had as well.”
“Good, no frills spot for an easy meal. Came here for a last minute brunch and was thankful to get a table! The place has a 2 for 1 brunch special where you get 2 drinks per person for the price of 1 - say less! Drinks were tasty and boozy. The breakfast burrito was delicious- well seasoned, hearty and filling. It came with home fries - again a very generous portion. Great neighborhood spot and will be back for more!”
“My friend and I came to Jackdaw for brunch and while the food was good, the experience was overshadowed by a very confusing situation with their brunch drink deal. Both the board and menu clearly advertise a 2-for-1 cocktail deal, so we ordered two espresso martinis, expecting that to be straightforward. However, our waitress insisted that we had to order four drinks to qualify for the deal, even though we explicitly said we only wanted two. I then asked if my friend could do the deal while I opted out, but that seemed to create even more confusion. The waitress went back and forth multiple times to check with her coworkers and manager, interrupting our meal repeatedly. It felt unnecessarily complicated and honestly a bit pushy, especially since I mentioned I didn’t want that much alcohol. Another staff member later explained the system in a way that made much more sense, which made the earlier interaction even more frustrating. As for the food: the breakfast burrito was good, the chicken fillet roll was just okay, but the cottage fries were the highlight—perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside. Overall, the meal could have been much more enjoyable if not for the confusing and somewhat pressured drink ordering experience. Good food, but service and communication around the deal really need improvement.”
