“We turned up here since we were in midtown and looking a nice dinner spot that’s open late (last seating at 22:30). The food was excellent. We were particularly impressed by the fried potato pancakes with a truffle sauce and the beef short rib (hojok galbi), which had incredibly tender meat that was flavorful and some kick from the peppers. We also got the Perilla oil noodles which were quite refreshing. The noodles were served cold which initially surprised us but they turned out quite refreshing. We finished with a cinnamon dusted ice cream which we also loved.”

“Excellent Korean comfort food. The menu is relatively short, but that allows each dish to feel unique. Everything I tried tasted great. The portions are generous and felt like good value for money. Will definitely go back. The noise level unfortunately is too high as soon as the place gets half full.”

“Our experience at Hojokban was such a blast! The food is delicious, staff is friendly in a cute and cozy environment. The go to dish is definitely Hojok Galbi, it’s very flavorful and the meat is so tender falling off the bone. A must try dish if it’s your first time! Octopus tteokbikki is good too, spicy and sweet to open up the appetite. We finish the meal with a tiramisu with orange flavor twist, it wasn’t too sweet, just enough to refresh your palette! Would come back to try more for sure :)”
