“We went for my girlfriend’s birthday. We got the Pita, Rakakat, Shish Barak, Charred Eggplant, Kebab Karaz and pudding. My favorites were the Rakakat and Kebab Karaz!”
“My wife and I were visiting from out of town and went to this place for dinner! It was absolutely amazing! One of my favorite childhood dish is shish barak, and Huda’s made it spot on as I remember my mom making it! We also ordered fattoush, eggplant, carrot salad, pita bread with zaatar. It was all delicious and the service was fantastic. My favorite dessert was the sticky dates pudding! Yummy! I highly recommend this place!”
“Huda Brooklyn is a truly special place. As a chef who has worked closely with Syrian and Middle Eastern chefs, I can say the food here is exceptional—refined, thoughtful, and full of identity. It has a signature that clearly sets it apart from other restaurants in the region, and that’s something I genuinely respect. That said, the experience at the end was disappointing. Despite having a reservation, and even with an empty table right next to us, we were asked to finish, pay, and leave because the table was “reserved.” This happened while we were still on our last course—I couldn’t even properly enjoy or finish dessert. It felt unnecessary and quite rushed, especially given the situation. I still tipped, as the Colombian server was kind, professional, and handled things with much more care. As a suggestion, it would be helpful to clearly communicate any seating time limits in advance, and also guide the team on how to approach guests more thoughtfully. Additionally, being encouraged to order 4–5 “main” courses felt uncomfortable and a bit forced. Incredible food, no question—but the service experience should match the level of the kitchen.”
“To say I was blown away would be an understatement. Every single thing we ordered was incredible. Fun takes on traditional dishes, and DO NOT SKIP DESSERT. Order as many things as you can to try it all.”
“Delicious restaurant in Brooklyn! Shout out to artist and First Lady Rama Duwaji for the recommendation (saw it on her IG). The food was freaking delicious and so were the (nonalcoholic) drinks. Definitely try the basil lemonade. The potatoes were excellent (and comped as it took a while for our main plates to arrive), and I would go back JUST for those potatoes. I recommend the Shish Barak for sure, the sauce was amazing. The flavors were so good ! I suggest ordering and sharing several plates. AND MAKE A RESERVATION!”
