“Kaki Sushi was phenomenal. The staff was excellent—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu and sake offerings. They struck that perfect balance of being attentive without being intrusive. The sushi was outstanding: incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and inventive without feeling forced or gimmicky. Having eaten sushi all over the world, I don't say this lightly—Kaki ranks among the most memorable experiences I've had. The absolute highlight was the deep-fried eggshell stuffed with tuna and other carefully selected ingredients. It was pure perfection—one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after the meal is over. Every course showcased exceptional technique, creativity, and restraint. They also have a solid sake selection, but it's great that they offer BYOB as well, giving guests plenty of options. In a city packed with great sushi restaurants, Kaki manages to stand out. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back.”

“Upon entering this restaurant, it may appear empty, but don’t let that discourage you. The experience is truly exceptional. I visited on a Sunday evening, arriving a little before my 6:15 PM reservation to enjoy dinner with a friend. The intimate atmosphere and attentive service made for an outstanding experience, especially since we were the only guests in the restaurant for a while. We received personalized attention, and I can confidently say the service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly, engaging, and took the time to converse with us, making the evening even more enjoyable. The sushi was absolutely delicious. I’ve been to multiple Omakase experiences throughout New York, and I’m thrilled to add this one to my list of favorites. Since it was my friend’s first time trying sushi, we made the staff aware, and they went above and beyond by explaining every piece in detail and even showing him pictures of the fish each piece came from. I am so grateful for that level of thoughtful, personalized service.
