“Consistently great service, standard menu, and wine selection. The Laab Bar pop-up introduces some new bangers. Loved the khao soy and calamari. Haven’t had these dishes prepared the same way anywhere else in NYC. Flavorful and gorgeously presented.”
“Pre- fixed menu from nyc restaurant week. Food was tasty, we had to order more. Staff is friendly and attentive. The environment, nyc curse of lack of space makes for a loud restaurant and tables very close together. Still enjoy but it was very loud for me.”
“Entrees were the absolute highlight of the meal. The sauce of the lamb shank left a lasting impression and made it so you just want more! The pork belly was on the sweeter side so came in second place. I would order both of these dishes again. For appetizers, the steak tartar was delicious. The salmon was very fresh and clean. Squid was refreshing too. We should have gave our appetizers a bit more thought before ordering. The restaurant was chilly and cold appetizers didn’t help. Great service! All dishes came out in a timely fashion. Staff were attentive and professional. Can’t wait to go back! Hopefully we can have some new items next time. This spot is available with InKind. Can get gift cards on Costco.”
“We enjoyed a special dinner arranged by Kru Restaurant, and the experience was exceptional. The food was delicious, the staff provided warm and attentive service, and the atmosphere was perfectly suited for the occasion. A well-deserved five stars.”
“This modern Thai/Thai fusion spot in Williamsburg is a good spot for a date night. The interior is intimate, and cozy. Service here is good. I came here for a group dinner with three friends and we ordered their steak tartare, lamb shank, and branzino (they have a fairly small menu). Everything was pretty solid. I enjoyed their steak tartare and thought that it was really unique that they paired the dish with fried tripe. Notes of lemongrass and other spices were really strong, reminding me of Southeast Asia. The lamb shank was flavorful and the meat was so tender. And, the branzino was also delicious. I would note that the portions were a lot smaller than we expected, and everything was a bit on the pricier side. Overall, a nice restaurant for some good food but I would personally prefer more authentic, casual Thai food.”
