“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Still Absolute Perfection After 20 Years! My wife and I have been coming to SEA Thai in Williamsburg for over two decades now, and after more than 10 visits, it remains one of our absolute favorite spots in Brooklyn. The atmosphere is always vibrant, but it’s the consistently incredible food that keeps us coming back year after year. The giant Buddha sitting in the pool which people throw coins in for good luck still remains a bellwether. On our most recent visit, we brought our son and it was a hit across the board. We started with the Tum Tum Fritters, which were fried to absolute perfection—my son completely devoured them and officially declared them his new favorite. We had 3 orders of it while there. For the mains, the Chicken Pad Thai was flawless as always, capturing that perfect balance of savory, sweet, and tangy, paired beautifully with a side of flawless sticky rice. My wife and I loved every single bite of the entire meal. But the absolute showstopper of the night was dessert. You might not expect a Thai restaurant to serve one of the best chocolate LAVA cakes in New York City, but SEA delivers exactly that. It comes warm and rich, sitting in a vibrant, tart raspberry syrup, and is topped with both vanilla and pistachio ice cream. The combination of flavors and temperatures is pure genius. My son was completely obsessed with it (and honestly, so were we). Whether you’re a long-time local or just visiting Williamsburg, SEA Thai is a neighborhood institution for a reason. Here’s to the next 20 years of amazing meals here!”
“Sea is a super cool and huge place with a great menu. The portions are big, perfect if you're really hungry or want to share. The only issue was the takeout box. it wasn't good and opened up in my bag on the way home, and everything spilled. Besides that, awesome place, easily 5 stars.”
“Came in here because we got a gift certificate through Groupon to this restaurant. It was worth the drive from Long Island! Excellent ambiance. Incredibly flavorful food. Really loved the samasoas and my Masaman Curry. Huge portions and I finished in one sitting! Even my drink was phenomenal. Pretty impressed!!!”
“Went to Sea Thai in Brooklyn for my friend's birthday. Finding the restaurant was a bit difficult with the bright lights and unique store front. However, once you step inside, it is very beautiful. The bathrooms are off to one side, with a DJ booth on the other side. You can be seated by the center pool area or at a table/booth on either side. The food, while a bit pricey, was large in portions and very delicious! My friends and I shared the Stuffed Crab Rangoon, Sea Chicken Wings, Siam Crispy Pork Belly Salad, and Classic Tom Yum Soup. The Stuffed Crab Rangoon was, by far, the best. A light crispy skin with a soft filling of crab meat, scallion, and cream cheese inside. The honey chili sauce made it taste even better. The Sea Chicken Wings were crispy, juicy, and full of flavors. We also ordered the Royal Pork Red Curry, Red Curry Pineapple Duck, Seafood Rice Pot, Seafood Combo, and the Siamese Fried Rice. I loved the Royal Pork Red Curry. The Thai red curry was smooth and creamy, with a very light kick. The apple, pineapple, basil, and crispy pork belly were all delicious and, when added to the rice, were heavenly. The Seafood Rice Pot was better than expected. A huge variety and portion of shrimp, squid, fillet of white fish, mushroom, and mixed vegetables were placed over jasmine rice. A heaping of gravy sauce was drizzled over the entire bowl, making everything balance out perfectly. I do wish they made the restaurant a bit brighter. Other than that, perfect service and delicious food. I plan on returning to try their other specialties!”
“Food was delicious. They actually got better. I use to come here all the time many years ago. Place was empty for a Friday night usually pretty packed from what I could remember. Drinks were pretty good also I’ve had worse. The place needs an upgrade. It was cool back in the early 2000’s but they need a new look. Menus looked horrible old water logged menus just makes the experience feel like a diner. Place doesn’t look clean also saw a critter around the table when about to leave. Waitress wasn’t the best didn’t check up on us after we got our food and drinks. Our drinks were done for like 15 min only the busboy came. No reason why we have to signal for her if our drinks are done and we need napkins. Definitely needs improvement in cleanliness and etiquette.”
