“Unforgettable Evening at La Libertine, a West Village gem, serving up exquisite French cuisine in a cozy, Parisian-style bistro. The seasonal menu is a highlight, with dishes crafted from top-notch ingredients. The butter service, featuring rich Normandie butter and anchovies, was a standout - truly exceptional. Oeufs mayos were creamy and indulgent, but the halibut with cabbage and sorrel was a showstopper. The mousse au chocolat, paired with green chartreuse crème fraîche, was sublime. The cocktail and wine list is impressive, with expertly crafted drinks that complemented the meal perfectly. Bruno, our waiter, was attentive, knowledgeable, and generous, even treating us to a complimentary after-dinner drink for my birthday. La Libertine is a must-visit for an authentic French experience in the West Village. Can't wait to return!”

“Delicious food and great service. The Duck was delicious. They serve the breast and the leg part separately with the latter oven backed with mashed potatoes. Wine list was rich and reasonably priced. I had chocolate mousse for desert and was excellent. Service at the bar was very friendly. I would go again .”

“Amazing french restaurant in the west village. The duck was perfectly crispy and tender— I personally could’ve done without the sauce that comes with it. But I liked how they do the duck two ways with the mash that accompanies the main. The saucise was very good— a tad salty tho but very good overall. However, the star of the show was the salade maison. Kisses to whoever made that salad. perfectly crisp, perfect herbage, perfect salt level.”

“I came here with Ilya. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and seems suitable for a simple meal. The staff were friendly, and the scallops were delicious. However, the steak was too fatty, and the fries tasted like cheap frozen fries. The drinks were also mediocre. Considering the price, the overall experience did not feel worth it. I would not come back, and I would not recommend it.”
