“Went to Mama Azul on Mother’s Day with my mom, family, and younger nephews and it ended up being such a fun, easy group spot. Definitely very kid-friendly, loud in an energetic way, and overall just really good vibes. There were sports on the TVs, the bar scene looked great, and the whole place had a lively atmosphere that worked really well for a bigger family meal. The food and drinks were solid overall. I do think there are places in the city with stronger Mexican food specifically, but the experience, service, and atmosphere honestly made up for that. The nachos were definitely the standout and probably the best thing I had there. Highly recommend ordering those, along with the chips and dip. Overall, not necessarily the place I’d send someone for the absolute best Mexican food in NYC, but absolutely a good experience and somewhere I’d still recommend for groups, families, birthdays, casual celebrations, or a fun night out.”

“Lizeth was our server and she was absolutely amazing. We were celebrating our birthdays, and she made the whole experience feel so special. She was super attentive, kind, and such a genuinely sweet person. She gave us great recommendations and always made sure we had everything we needed. The food at Mamazul was delicious, full of flavor, and the ambience and music made the night even more enjoyable. We had such a great time and will definitely be coming back.”

“This restaurant is absolutely amazing, starting with the ambiance, the staff is super friendly and professional! Now let’s talk about the food- WOW is all I can say. We had Fajitas, shrimp ceviche, cheese with chicken quesadilla-everything has an explosion of flavors, just wow. The drinks- we had frozen strawberry margaritas, amazing! I recommend this restaurant with my entire heart! Now the staff, our server was Hugo- so funny, personable! And the manager, Flavia- so attentive! Just an awesome experience!”

“Lizeth was our server and was very happy to serve us. She gave us options when we asked for suggestions and very attentive what we didn’t want/ didn’t like. Mamazul food was very delicious and full of flavor, will definitely come again especially with it’s ambience and music. + the hostess and manager helped us get another table for our brother who came along”

“I attended Mamazul for my birthday dinner with friends and family. The waitress was very short with her responses, service was lacking n slow. The food was decent but pretty overpriced in my opinion. The birria for example was only 3 tacos and consume for $30 no rice or beans or anything else. The watermelon margarita was in a very small short glass for $20. I understand this is NYC but I was surprised. They also charged $20 for 4 churrp sticks with a sparkler for my birthday dessert. Maybe the server didn't put in effort because we were a table of 6 n there is a mandatory automatic 20% gratuity added to our bill but either way I doubt any of us will return.”
