Our sleek modern design and palette of blond woods and soft colors provide a comfortable, approachable setting for our cozy trattoria, with beautiful outdoor seating amidst the bustle of ninth avenue in the warmer months.
“Emma welcomed us with a warm accommodation. Alonzo took care of our food preferences & Luke’s hospitality & good service made our experience memorable. The food was truly a treat to the palate. Home-made aldente pasta & seafood was yum esp their Calamari. It’s as close as to being back to Italy. Will definitely go back over & over again when we're in the city.”
“Nizza serves delicious, flavorful Italian food with an impressively large menu and excellent gluten-free options—a huge plus. The restaurant was packed, creating a lively atmosphere and it’s great for big groups (we were 6 people). The staff and servers were some of the nicest people and incredibly accommodating throughout the meal. Everything so tasty, the real standouts were the artichokes and calamari—we ate them too fast to even snap a photo.”
“We visited this restaurant before our broadway show during a trip to New York. The atmosphere was great and it was completely full (we’re glad we booked ahead!). There was a separate gluten free menu suitable for coeliacs and everything was explained really clearly along with cross-contamination measures. Our meal started with non-gluten free and gluten free focaccia which was delicious. We enjoyed started of artichoke hearts and the beet salad. The ingredients were so fresh and the flavour was delicious. Our mains and desserts were also great. We felt this restaurant offered the best service we had in New York. It didn’t feel pushy at all and the waitress seemed to genuinely want us to enjoy our visit. She even let us stay a bit longer to enjoy the rest of our drinks before the show.”
“If you're looking for a fun little Italian trattoria for food and drink before a Broadway show look no further. We really enjoyed our time at Nizza. Luke, our waiter, was wonderful. Super attentive and everything you'd want in a waiter and more. Great wine selection -- food menu has a good mix of options and everything we had was great. I forgot to snap a photo but the burrata was excellent. Definitely would recommend and would come again.”
“We loved Nizza when we went recently before seeing Little Shop of Horrors Off-Broadway at the West Side Theatre. Perfect location! The space is cozy and atmospheric - great ambient lighting, which is very important to me and my husband. The bread was fabulous, both the regular and the gluten-free! Cacio de Pepe with the addition of mushrooms, my favorite, was A+. We will definitely return here on a future visit to NYC!”
