“Stumbled upon this place and it was a very happy accident! Ambiance was wonderful. The Dan Dan noodles were so good. Fresh with a great spicy, salty, umami balance. A great nutty creaminess. The vegan crab rangoon was super unique and quite and perfectly crisp and tasty. Set aside your thoughts of real crab rangoon and take this as a separate thing though. I already started digging in before I remembered I wanted to take photos lol”
“I’ve been wanting to try Spicy Moon for a while. The pink exterior immediately caught my eye (my favorite color). It stands out in the area. The inside is just as pretty with lots of art, dim lighting, and a really nice vibe. It seems like a great place for a date. It’s spacious too, with a bar area, seating, and I believe an event space downstairs. It’s a vegan Szechuan spot, and I tried the Dan Dan noodles and vegetable fried dumplings. Both were good, especially the noodles. I’d definitely come back to try more of the menu.”
“We hosted a birthday party here a few weeks ago, and the Spicy Moon team was accommodating, attentive and welcoming. They have a huge bar space that worked so well for our group. It is usually a nightmare to make a reservation for 30 people in Manhattan, but it was so easy here and we were happy to share the bar space with everyone for no private room fee. Everyone loved the food, drinks, and vibes, and the host was great at helping to present a cake and serve it right on time. I would 100% host another social event here. I also loved the fried tofu entree and the Philly cheesesteak rolls were a big hit 😍”
“The dan dan noodles were good as advertized, but the dry pot style was the highlight. It was delicious with a perfectly balanced szechuan spice to it. Not something you are able to find just anywhere, I highly recommend and suggest getting the dry pot style. Getting both items was a good balance for noodles and vegetables. We shared between two people, could have probably shared between three people, we left very full.”
“Just dined here a few hours ago and while the food is lovely, I had a few qualms about this location. I went to another location before and I loved it so I decided to give this location a try. While the food always great and the staff was friendly, my drink took forever to come out (I was half way done with my appetizer and entree) and I ordered a ToGo fried rice with duck and when I got home I realized there was no duck in the fried rice, which was disappointing because I paid extra. I really want to give this place another try bc it’s a bigger location, but honestly very scared bc I spent a lot of money for a sad experience. I ordered an Ube Mule, scallion pancakes, stir fried noodles with V chicken, and TOGO fried rice with V Duck (and got no duck). I am willing to try again.”
