“Our family had a GREAT meal here! The vibe is friendly and fun. Loud enough to feel lively but we could hear each other well. Our server, Elijah, helped us make great choices from the menu and choose just the right amount of food. The highglight was the salt and pepper tofu - wow! Better than scallops!”
“My wife and I have been coming to Dan Dan Noodle since 2017, and it’s remained one of our most reliable go-to spots in the city. The food is consistently strong, and the signature dan dan noodles are a must-order. We also tend to get the chicken potstickers, scallion pancake, kung pao chicken, and dry pot beef, along with white rice for the table. It’s a menu that rewards repeat visits. We’ve had both takeout and dine-in here, and we definitely prefer dining in. The food is at its best when it comes straight out of the kitchen. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and kind without being overbearing. For seating, we prefer the cozy but small upstairs dining area, so making a reservation on OpenTable is usually a good idea. There are a few high-top tables downstairs near the kitchen and windows, which are also great, but if you prefer a quieter or cozier spot, we think the upstairs is best. They also offer a happy hour with good prices, and overall, the value for the food quality is excellent. We often bring out-of-town guests, and it’s always a hit. Sichuan cuisine remains distinct from typical American Chinese, which helps Dan Dan stand out. We’ve also noticed their Ardmore location, which appears to be a strong alternative. Consistently good, well-run, unique, and worth visiting, especially for the dan dan noodles. Highly recommended and hope to be back soon!”
“A really delightful first experience here! Loved the atmosphere, a chill vibe, great for a relaxing Friday night meal. My husband and I devoured the dumplings in chili oil. Just the right amount of spice. That was our absolute favorite! We also had the scallion pancakes, which were deliciously crispy. I got the ginger shredded duck and loved it. My husband got the special - a spicy braised duck with vegetables. It was huge! He was very happy. 😋 We will definitely return.”
“Will be coming back, I really liked this place! It was worth coming to on an off/day time (good luck getting in on a Saturday night with no reservations). The cumin lab noodles were so good and so spicy with great flavor. Next I want to try the spicy beef noodles it was that good. Wontons in chili oil were great, definitely save the oil and put it on your rice. The eggplant and garlic sauce was good and a good balance to the spice of the lamb. Cute spot for a date night, highly recommend! Edit: Have come back multiple times one of my favorite spots for a nice night. Continues to be fantastic quality.”
“The spicy tendon was tasty. It had a nice fiery flavor to it perfect for the cold night. The pork belly over rice was well done. It was classic Taiwanese fare at its finest. The onion pancake was perfectly fried. It had a real nice crispy texture to it. The Dan Dan noodle had way too much peanut butter flavor to it I found it inedible. Other people are a fan of it, I am not. I was hoping for a tomato based Dan Dan noodle, I should’ve asked. Other than the hostess being rude the experience was ok.”
