“Tried the escargot for the first time and man was it delicious. I also ordered there version of the ribeye which was $135 (is meant for 2 though), and they even brought it out to the table in this fancy presentation before taking back and cutting. Really nice people and great food.”
“Before we arrived in NY I searched for the best onion soup in Manhattan and found this place and I wasn’t disappointed. The soup was as good as I’ve ever had and was followed by steak and frites, of course, and the steak was sooo tasty, great crust and cooked to perfection. The chips were crispy and seasoned, an absolute treat. As if that wasn’t enough, creme brûlée for dessert, again, spot on! We had the lunch menu so with the steak supplement was $48 and was easily worth that, and some. We shared a bottle of Auguste wine which wasn’t our normal wine but delicious nonetheless. The service was friendly and attentive without being pushy. If I could give 6 stars I would”
“I haven't had filet mignon that was cooked and flavored as well as the one that made as well here at this price point. And I actually liked the hanger steak more. The atmosphere and service was typical of a restaurant at this price point. Desserts were a bit underwhelming, but I'm not a bad fan of sweets anyway. It was a good meal overall.”
“I recently visited Steak Frites with a few friends and had a fabulous time. We shared a large steak for the table, and it was prepared perfectly - beautifully cooked, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when ordering a great steak. The atmosphere was lively and we really enjoyed the overall experience. The only downside was the wine list. While they appear to have a very good selection, several of the wines listed were unfortunately not available. It seems the menu may not always be fully updated, which made choosing a bottle a little challenging. That said, the food and the overall experience were still excellent. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and would happily return.”
“We LOVED everything about this place! The atmosphere was cozy and beautiful, loved the decor. The food was so delicious, and the portions were extremely generous for the price! Everything from the onion soup and salads to the steak frites and roast chicken were so delightful. Cocktails were thoughtful and well-balanced, and the service was extremely prompt and friendly. Our server recommended a wonderful dessert wine that we loved! 10/10!”
