“One of the more authentic French experiences in the city. Wine selection is concise but still has depth. Selection favors white wines (likely due to the pre theater crowd). Order the escargot, it comes piping hot and is as good as it gets in the city. The steak tartar is also a favorite, it comes with a garlic bread and a plum type sauce on the plate which you will want to lick off. Indoor seating is a little cramped; we’d recommend sitting at the bar or outside if you can handle the weather.”
“I had the $45 three-course pre-theater dinner recently - Thursday, May 7 - and it was just wonderful! I had the pork country paté followed by chicken Cordon Bleu with mushroom sauce and a potato gratin, and then chocolate mousse for dessert. I also had a generous pour of Pinot Blanc (a little too fruity for me) followed by a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. It was also a really nice day and I was able to sit outside on their colorful front patio. The hostess and server were both very solicitous and toward the end of my meal, the young (and handsome) owner came out to ask how everything was. I told him it was wonderful! I will definitely be back on my next trip to NYC!”
“Magnifique is not even "le mot juste" to describe the experience of dining at Le Tout Va Bien" restaurant. The moment you enter this wonderful establishment you are greeted warmly and welcomed into a very quaint and pleasant space that transports you to a bistro in France. The food is beyond delicious as | still savor the moules provençales, the boeuf bourguignon and mousse au chocolat from this last visit. Thank you Arnaud and staff for the great and friendly service. and staff for the great and friendly service. Hope you enjoyed the Valentine's Day cookies and hope to see you again very soon! “Hands down one of the best duck leg confits I’ve had. Perfectly crisp on the outside, incredibly tender inside, and full of deep, comforting flavor. You can really tell this place cooks with care and passion, nothing feels rushed or touristy. The atmosphere is cozy and genuinely French, and the whole experience felt like a little slice of France in NYC. I’ll absolutely be back.”
“Loved. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. It’s small inside but seating is comfortable. The food was fresh and delicious. The theater prefix was a great deal. We ordered for the appetizer French onion soup and escargot($3 additional charge), for entree steak frites, and cream brûlée for dessert. The steak frites were so good, cooked perfectly, still thinking of those fries. Will be back definitely.”
