Landmarked in 1996, Historic Stone Stone Street is an ideal place to eat, drink, and celebrate! Notably, it was the first paved Street in the New Amsterdam Recorded in 1658. First called High Street by the Dutch and then Duke Street by the English, it was finally named Stone Street in 1794 to honor its place in history as the first paved street. Being part of colonial history, Historic Stone Street has seen the likes of George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, and Ben Franklin. Today Historic Stone Street is the only place in New York where you can eat and drink on a city street! We honor our history by pairing warm hospitality and delicious food and drink. Sitting on historic Stone Street with a cold drink and great food was one of my favourite experiences in Lower Manhattan. If you’re visiting the Financial District, I highly recommend stopping by. “This spot is great for brunch, and is hidden away in a charming little street. That is super cute. We really like the pancakes and the pretzel was also delicious, I would definitely go back here again for their lunch and dinner. The staff was really nice and though we didn’t try too many of the drinks, the cocktails looked absolutely yummy.”

Stone Street is especially worth visiting if you’re already in the area, for example exploring Battery Park, Wall Street, or the 9/11 Memorial.
