“Excellent stop for lunch, with pleasant outdoor seating on a relatively quiet street. We stopped here for lunch two days in a row, after enjoying it so much the first time. Friendly service, quality ingredients and well-selected wine options. The oysters, from three different locations (both coasts), were flavorful and meaty. The burrata is fantastic. Other highlights were the halibut and salmon, both excellent, as well as the flavorful berry cobbler. Friendly and welcoming service; unfortunately I don't remember our server's name from the first day, but Julio on day 2 was attentive and generous! A great spot for a nice lunch, and will worth it. Will be back!”
“The Clam is a low-key West Village spot that just gets it right—fresh seafood, simple menu, and no overthinking it. The outdoor seating is the move, small and relaxed with that classic NYC sidewalk vibe, especially on a nice day. Not a big scene, just consistently good food and an easy place to go back to.”
“We arrived on a Friday afternoon and, despite the place being packed, were seated after about a 10-minute wait. Service was a bit slow at first, but once we ordered, everything went smoothly. The West Coast oysters were excellent, and the grilled scallop was one of the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, with the avocado mousse adding a great balance. The peach salad was fresh and flavorful. The spaghetti with clams was outstanding — spicy in just the right way — and the halibut was juicy, pairing beautifully with the corn risotto. The Albariño wine complemented the meal nicely. The only letdown was the desserts, which I wouldn’t recommend. Overall, a very good dining experience — definitely worth visiting.”
“Came here on a lazy Saturday evening. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Matthew was such a great server and everything he recommended was fantastic. The food is simple but excellent. The lobster arancini and Kampachi crudo were stand out appetizers. The black sea bass entree was so fresh, with a sauce that was flavorful and paired perfectly. To top it off, we got the snickerdoodle dessert with espresso ice cream (instead of raspberry, as per Matthew’s recommendation) was a perfect way to end the night. Excellent spot overall and definitely coming back.”
“Solid spot with fresh ingredients. Oysters were decent, salad had good contrast of textures. Calamari and crudo were OK.”
