“Cute place but truly the food was exceptional. The chicken Katsu w Beef Curry was so good. Crispy outside, tender chime inside. Curry was rich, rice was soft. Even the vanilla mochi exceeded expectations! We will be back.”
“They take their last order at 2.45pm and we were there at 3pm. Very hungry and very very late as we had to rush to catch our flight from New Jersey. We requested and they were very sweet to accommodate my daughter and me -two hungry souls. They not only went out of the way to feed us beyond their kitchen timings, but offered us a very unique dish - octopus with wasabi! An amazing new addition to my Japanese favourites. While waiting for the main course, the sushi chef presented a beautiful show with a variety of amazing sushi rolls. They were amazing. The main course was served hot and fresh which we could only finish a portion of due to time constraints and they got the rest of it packed for us to enjoy on the way to the airport. All that care, love and amazing food was topped by a sushi platter packed for us - on the house, complimentary from their side. Truly speaking the last meal in NY couldn’t be more special! Thankyou team WANO for this! Gratitude! Love from India ❤️”
“I went to WANO while visiting the city and man was it a treat. From the moment we walked in, the staff and owners were so pleasant and welcoming… it really set the tone for the entire experience. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful and so aesthetically pleasing; every detail feels thoughtfully designed. Sadly my phone was dying, so I didn’t get to photograph everything we ordered (which I’m still upset about because it was all so well presented!). But one dish I have to highlight is the crab cream croquettes… hands down my favorite. They were completely out of this world and so unique. I went in expecting something closer to a crab Rangoon, but they exceeded my expectations in every way—perfectly crisp on the outside, rich and creamy on the inside, and just packed with flavor. Overall, such a great experience. I’ll definitely be back (with a fully charged phone next time!).”
“I finally made it to Wano New York and I’m not exaggerating when I say… every single bite ate. The food? So good. Like quiet for a second because you need to process the flavors good. Everything tasted super fresh, perfectly seasoned, and just really well put together. You can tell there’s intention behind every dish it’s not just pretty, it actually delivers. What I loved most is how balanced everything felt. Nothing was too heavy, nothing was doing too much it was just clean, flavorful, and satisfying in that “I could keep eating this” kind of way. And the staff made it even better. So warm, so attentive, and just really on point. They made sure everything flowed perfectly without hovering, and that kind of service always stands out to me. The whole experience felt elevated but still comfortable, like somewhere you can dress up a little or just come as you are and still feel good. Definitely one of those spots I’d come back to without even thinking twice.”
“Salmon sushi was by far the best sushi I’ve ever had. So creamy and fresh….salmon udon noodles were so exquisite. Would definitely come back! Our service was 10/10.”
