Pelican Seafood Market and Grill

“I’ve been to Pelican Seafood a few times with friends and decided to try the fish and chips and lobster sandwich on this visit. The fish and chips were good and cooked well, and the lobster sandwich had really nice flavour. I wasn’t blown away by anything, but I enjoyed the meal. Pelican is still probably the best seafood spot I’ve tried in Ottawa so far. I’d come back to try more items on the menu.”

“We have returned many times, both for dining in and to buy items from the market. The oysters are my favourite, they are delicious and fresh and available for a lower price during happy hour. The crab pasta is outstanding, with a delicious cream sauce and generous amount of crab. We love grabbing the frozen lobster Mac and cheese from the market. Make sure to book a reservation as they are very popular!”

“I got the lobster roll with half salad and half fries. The salad and fries were delicious, and the lobster roll had a good amount of lobster meat in it. It was super delicious! Only improvement that can be made is perhaps adding a bit more flavour to the roll, but otherwise no complaints! The place was super busy and had a nice ambience. They were able to accommodate our group of 6 walk-in despite how busy they were!”

“Went for my bday. Happy hour oyster was really good. Decent size for $2 oyster. The portion was generous. We order 1 main and 2 appetizer but we were fighting to finish everything. Server was super kind and we had good time !”

“I walked into Pelican Restaurant without a reservation and was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. The service was excellent from start to finish — the staff were friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. The food was delicious and well prepared, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Great service, great servers, and great seafood — definitely worth 5 stars. Highly recommended!!!!!!”
