“My daughter and I went for lunch and really enjoyed our time here. It was our first time and definitely won't be our last. The server was friendly and food was delicious. You could really taste the quality ingredients and I liked that it had an open concept kitchen.”
“We got the kale salad with chicken the margarita and the prosciutto and arugula pizzas. They were phenomenal. As someone who has eaten authentic pizza in Italy, this was very good. The kale salad was also very enjoyable. Overall very good, our server was very jolly and good with small talk.”
“Had a great experience at lunch. Nice, cozy interior, good food and portion size, and good service. The menu has a nice selection as well.”
“Absolutely amazing! The buttermilk chicken sandwich was spectacular. Delicious and not even greasy! The sauce was amazing too. Next time we need to try the pizza's bcz they looked delicious. Hand made right in front of your eyes. Our server was so nice and answered all our questions. So sorry I forgot her name but she had short dark hair and was fantastic from start to finish! Missed the show this time but we will return again for sure. Cheers”
“Been to a few great Trattoria restaurants in my time and I would rate Parkwood A for effort. It isn’t bad for a small town but it isn’t quite there…yet. The atmosphere is good but it’s just missing something. It feels a bit in authentic which is a little bit of a let down. The service was decent. Nothing wrong with it but nothing to write home about. Now to the menu and the food. The most important part. Firstly a great trattoria should always have a great red wine list. Here there was none. A big let down. I understand they want local but this is one area where local hurts and doesn’t help. The only selection of wines were poor quality whites per glass and one bottle of a Convenient store level of red at 50 bucks. 5 times its value. A shame. I can understand offering a fewer less expensive offerings but a restaurant trying to aim this high should have at least one decent well regarded and popular high quality red and one white offered by the bottle and the glass. Having such a low end wine list just cheapened the experience and screams a restaurateur who doesn’t have the experience. On to the pizza. I only had a sample of the pepperoni so I can’t speak about the others. Presentation a solid 10. What a great looking pie. However nowhere have I ever seen an authentic pepperoni pizza that ever needed to be draped in honey and it doesn’t work here either. The honey was total sensory over kill on an other wise really decent pizza that just didn’t need it. Honey and pizza don’t go together Also the pizza was under done. The crust and bottom were brown but the inside was mushy and under cooked towards the center. Would I come here again ? The way it is now no. But if these things were addressed I would give Parkwood another go for sure. In summary they are trying to hard in some places and not enough in others which leaves the experience over all inauthentic and a bit lacking but again I would certainly give them A for effort. It’s refreshing to see an attempt at a restaurant like this in an other wise pretty mundane town.”
