“Great brewery, a bit small inside but has loads of character, cold beer, reasonably priced food. Stopped at Chestnut Hill Brewery while in the area visiting a family member at Temple Health. I will definitely be back again.”

“During my visit for vegan Restaurant Week, I explored Chestnut Hill, a vibrant area in Pennsylvania known for its walkability, fun, festive atmosphere, art, culinary delights, and shopping. There’s always something new to discover, and the Chestnut Hill Brewing Company is a true highlight. I can’t believe we’ve never been here before. It’s just off Germantown Avenue behind the Chestnut Hill Hotel. The restaurant has been around for over eight years, and the market you’ll see in the photos was built about four years ago. They offer great seating options; we chose to sit in the Fairway Beer Garden, located inside the market with a view of all the food kiosks. The taproom is more of a sit-down restaurant with booths and chairs. Outdoor seating is lovely, set in a garden-like atmosphere. Although we had a reservation, we were seated immediately despite the place being very busy—lots of families, kids, and dogs. Parking was easy. Our server, Kevin, was excellent—knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful with suggestions. We started with the Brussels Caesar salad, where the Brussels sprouts were slightly charred and tender, complemented by crisp lettuce and perfect dressing. The beans on toast is a must-try, featuring gigandes beans, whipped ricotta, pickled chilies, served on fresh country bread, drizzled with pimento oil, and topped with chopped cilantro—an ideal balance of spice and richness. I want to make this at home. The pumpkin hummus with roasted pumpkin seeds, cranberry, and rosemary was simple and delicious. For the mains, I ordered the falafel burger, which was a delightful surprise—crispy outside, tender inside, seasoned perfectly, served with vegan tzatziki, pickled red cabbage, and fresh herbs. Kevin recommended the party fries—truffle oil, vegan Parmesan, and herbs, with an amazing truffle aroma that elevated the dish. My friend chose the autumn Regginetti pasta with butternut squash, sage, whipped ricotta, chili oil, fresh parsley, and pumpkin seeds. It’s a seasonal specialty that was so popular last year they extended it. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were five stars. I can’t wait to return.”

“Visited this for lunch one weekend and was overall happy with my experience. Small menu, small list of drinks, but high quality everything. The pizza was amazing and so were the truffle fries. The pizza is very thin and the crust is very thick which isn't my favorite, but it taste great anyway. We did not try any of their drinks this day. Wish they would expand a little with the drink menu. However, we will definitely be visiting again.”

“Random "restaurant" mixed into a market with very limited space, not the worse thing though. 95% of the menu is vegan FYI. Timing is everything of course because they ran out of the good beer and had to settle for another, tap water with no ice and a pizza that could have used another 5 mins. Other than that, the staff was friendly!”

“I was so excited to try this place after someone else recommended it. The outside area is adorable but it was a little chilly so we sat inside. Pretty cozy but still very cool. We asked for a table inside and the hostess was miserable and sat us in the snug (incredibly uncomfortable area, if seated here just leave) and pretty much threw the menus on the table and walked away. No greetings or kindness at all. Our waitress was adorable but never around. The runner that delivered food was again miserable and dropped the food in our crowed table after reprimanding us for not making room fast enough. We needed napkins and a side dip and no one returned to check in until we were nearly done. The beer and drinks were delicious, the food was just ok. Very limited menu. Pizzas were good, everything else was just ok. The chicken smash burger was the worst, absolutely no flavor and weird texture (too squishy). None of us will be going back here. Place had a lot of potential but feeling like you’re an annoyance to everyone for daring to order food and eat there was rough. Everyone had 1 drink and 1 meal plus an app shared by 4 and total per person was around $40”
