Blue Elephant Pottstown is an Asian restaurant in the Pottstown neighborhood of Pottstown.
“The building really is beautiful, the high ceilings of the old bank, massive windows, the fountain centerpiece, it’s all wonderful. The blue and gold color scheme looks great in the setting and there are many great atmospheric picks, like the shaped sofas in the center area and the light fixture above the bar. A nice place to have dinner. As far as food and drink go, been here twice now, and have generally been impressed though I do think so items are priced at a point higher than they are worth. The Korean wing appetizer is absolutely delicious. Tonight the main was the short rib with the Thai curry. Massive piece of meat, very satisfied. Curry was tasty and rich. Lots of creative stuff on the menu, makes me want to go back and try something else. Nice to have a place like this in the area, would recommend.”
“I thought The Blue Elephant was an incredible place. The atmosphere is quiet, elegant and perfect to enjoy a good meal without feeling the noise or stress of other restaurants. The drinks are spectacular - yes they come a little strong, but that’s what makes them even better. The pasta I ordered was delicious, full of flavor and very well presented. The service was also excellent; the staff was always attentive, friendly and very professional. Something that really makes this place special is its interior design. The combination of the building’s historic architecture with a modern and sophisticated decoration creates a unique experience. High ceilings, warm lighting, decorative fountains and details in blue tones make the space feel elegant and cozy at the same time. You can see the care in every detail of the environment. It is definitely a restaurant that I would return to and that I recommend for a special dinner or simply to enjoy a great gastronomic experience.”
“I would recommend the cheesesteak egg rolls to get as an appetizer and then the pastas for an entree 😍 staff is SO amazing and friendly . I did like the umami fries and ramen too but the pastas and gnocchi is just perfect. Cocktail menu isn’t extensive but are by far the best tasting around . The inside is beyond aesthetic and makes for a perfect outing. I’m obsessed .”
“This has been on my list for sometime. Happy to have finally ✅ this box. Can't wait to go back! Tempura broccoli is highly recommended. I had the sea bass (honey sauce is incredible), our friend had the chicken teriyaki, and my wife had the pork chop. The seasoned crust on the pork chop was a bit too salty, but you could trim that edge off and still enjoy something delicious. I don't live close by but I can assure you I'll be back. There is street parking, so it should be easy to find a spot. Service was great. Kitchen was a little slow but not a big deal. Clearly the building was a bank in it's former life, but the renovations are very well done. Even though the place was packed it wasn't too loud. Oh you must try the beer bread. It's fantastic”
“The service was great but food and drinks were alright, nothing memorable. With so many great asian fusion restaraunts in the greater Philadelphia area, I didn’t find anything here worth revisiting. The ambiance looks beautiful online but it’s not noteworthy in person. The tables are so close together, I felt like I was on a group date with the couples on either side of me; sans how entertaining it looks in my favorite sitcoms. The one standout though is the red velvet lava cake, to die for, I couldn’t even get a photo.”
