Taverna Agora is a Greek restaurant in the Raleigh neighborhood of Raleigh.
“Celebrated my daughter’s 30th birthday here last night. Been here several times over the years, consistently good food, service and staff. On that note, our server Ashley M. Added so much to our experience. Her personality, knowledge, attentiveness and more over exceeded! Thanks again!”
“Taverna Agora was the perfect place to celebrate our 32nd anniversary! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. Julie, the hostess, greeted us warmly, and our server, Andres, was gracious, attentive, and made our evening feel special. 💫 Manager Mark stopped by our table to check on us and even acknowledged our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch. The atmosphere upstairs was wonderful—warm, inviting, and full of character. The food was absolutely delicious, and every bite was amazing. I finished the evening with a limoncello that was incredible, while Phil enjoyed the limoncello cake, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. A fun moment happened as we were leaving. We had the opportunity to speak with one of the chefs on our way downstairs. I didn't catch his name, but he was genuinely excited that we had enjoyed our meals and chosen to celebrate there. That enthusiasm and pride in what they do says so much about the restaurant. What stood out most was how everyone made us feel valued. We weren't just another table—we felt like guests they truly cared about. Have I mentioned that I can't wait to go back?”
“Had our Mother's Day celebration here and really enjoyed the experience! Service was great, and the food and drinks were excellent. They were out of some meal and dessert selections but they had plenty of other options. The Spastitsio and Limon Cello cake were flavorful and a special treat.”
“Taverna Agora was highly recommended by a Greek friend, so we had to try a little bit of everything. We got the spreads trio, bread with oil, dolmades, and I got pastitcio while my husband got braised lamb shank. It was all good, but the spreads and dessert were the best part! We saw several people order the flambe dish, it looked fun and smelled great! Might try that next time.”
“Good service and atmosphere. We enjoyed sitting outside on the rooftop patio. The entrees we ordered were good and the appetizers were great.”
