At Jolie, we’ve brought the lively and timeless French bistro to life on our little corner of downtown Raleigh, located next to our sister restaurant, Crawford & Son. Look for classic, time-honored French dishes as well as modern adaptations from Chef Scott Crawford’s collaborative team, including our talented Chef de Cuisine Aaron Salita. Please note that reservations on our covered rooftop are weather-dependent. In the event of inclement weather, your booking may need to be relocated, rescheduled, or adjusted for guest safety and comfort. During the winter months, we do provide heaters; however, we recommend that guests dress warmly. Thank you for your understanding when selecting this location. If you use a credit card, we will charge an additional 3% to help offset processing costs. This amount is not more than we pay in fees. We do not surcharge debit cards.
“Always phenomenal. The upstairs patio (if the weather is nice) is a VIBE. The steak frites is a must-get. Last time we had it, the fries were thin (like McDonalds fries) but WAY better. We said "these are the best fries we've ever had". This time they were thicker and more proper 'fries'...and they were EVEN BETTER. By far the best french fries I've ever had, and I've had a lot. If you're on the fence about Jolie, you shouldn't be.”
“Wow!! Celebrated my birthday on the roof top with the lovely Olivia. She was perfect in every way. Attentive, fun, energetic. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations. The chefs knocked it out of the park. Food was PERFECT! Literally Thank you Joli team for making my Birthday dinner perfect”
“Went to Jolie last night and had a wonderful time! Colleen was our server and she was incredible. We ordered the mussel toast, tortellini appetizer special, and parsnip bisque to start and they were scrumptious!! The tortellini was probably my least favorite but still very flavorful. The mussel toast was out of this world. For our entrees we ordered the steak frites and salmon and absolutely loved it. We left stuffed and satisfied. We can definitely tell my they got a michelin recommendation for 2025. 10/10!”
“While everything I ordered was delicious (tartare and steak frites), the other dishes at the table were not as good—the salmon was overcooked, and the flavor of everything on the plate was bland. It desperately needed a hint of citrus or something to brighten it up. I do not recommend that dish. The duck was inconsistent. Some bites where the skin was crisp and the meat was tender were good, while other bites had rubbery skin and chewy duck. Their beef dishes are clearly the way to go. The fries were also delicious, though two pf us ordered the truffle fries with our steak and were given the herb fries instead. When we asked for the fries we ordered, they brought out only one serving of the truffle fries much later. The service was very glitchy—we received another table’s starters initially, and that mixup seemed to continue throughout the night. They forgot our drinks until we reminded them, and we had to reorder all drinks after our starters had been served. They gave me someone else’s wine. The liquor wasn’t brought out with our dessert. We watched all of the mishaps going on between tables, and ended up with other people’s charges on our bill that we had to correct. Every course had wrong or missing items from drinks to check, and we had to sort it all out ourselves. Maybe it was just an off night, but we were the first seating at 5, and it is a tiny restaurant.”
“We dined at Jolie last night (4/10/2026) to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite match the occasion we were hoping for. We arrived about five minutes early for our 7:15 reservation and were seated right away, which we appreciated. However, after being seated, it took around 15–20 minutes before anyone came to our table. We were seated right by the door next to the hostess standing area, so it was a bit surprising that no one checked in during that time. I eventually had to ask the hostess if we could get a server. Once our waitress came over, she let us know it was only her third day. To her credit, she improved as the night went on. She became attentive, kept our drinks filled, and made sure we had what we needed. We appreciated her effort and don’t place the blame on her. That said, what was most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment for my wife’s birthday. The reservation was booked for the occasion, and there was no mention of it when we arrived, during the meal, or even at the end. When you’re spending around $150 on a dinner with drinks and appetizers, you hope for at least a simple “happy birthday” to make it feel like a special night. What stood out even more is that we experienced something very similar about two years ago at another restaurant (Crawford Brothers)within the Crawford and Son restaurant group. Because of that, it makes us wonder if this is a broader lack of communication or process around special occasions rather than a one-off situation. Overall, the food and later service helped recover the experience slightly, but the slow start and missed opportunity to recognize a special occasion left us underwhelmed. We had higher expectations and hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests celebrating important moments.”
