“This is my second time visiting the venue, taking my lady here for our anniversary and her first time visiting. It has been a fantastic night with delicious food and wonderful service, I almost had a dejavu that I was back in France from a trip long time ago. All the dishes we had were great, the tartare de boeuf and bouillabaisse stood out the most. The creme brulee was torched right before us, so it was the classic "dinner and a show", we both really liked. My lady was especially impressed with the way for dessert selection. The hospitality provided throughout the night was simply excellent. We were looked after, cared for, well paced... it felt so comfortable in the warm atmosphere, forgetting about time, and able to just enjoy the evening. Would highly recommend a visit, whether it be brunch or dinner. C'est magnifique!”
“Wow. This place! Loved the whole experience. The bouillabaisse was memorable... done in a classic way but elevated. (And also, much better than Chamber's version) The escargot appetizer was also perfection. The dine out Vancouver menu looked great but we opted to order off the menu but will def be going back for that. Service was friendly and super attentive without being too much. I think this is our new favorite restaurant!”
“The great reviews have put this place on our list for a while now, and happily it lived up to the praise. This is classic French bistro fare, made from quality ingredients and prepared with care. The menu is tight, but missing nothing. Atmosphere is lively, and the decibel level manageable - though maybe not for a quiet intimate date. The wait staff was familiar, but not overbearing. We were thankfully spared the introductions when ordering, as well as the requisite inquiry into our plans for the rest of the evening, when settling. All to say, great service. Loved the decore and lighting. It's a great space with tables, high tops and a bar. Our food was excellent and fairly priced. Escargot were amazing, as was the steak tartare. My only note would be to perhaps accompany it with a small side of finishing salt, for those who want to pull out a bit more of the beef flavour. Our entres consisted of the bouillabaisse and steak frites. Both were really well executed. When we decide to go out, this is what a restaurant should be. We'll be back and think those that decide to come here will enjoy their experience!”
“Best foie gras I have ever ate in Vancouver! Actually, the best I ate in all north America! Im from France, and this restaurant has real tastes of France. The duck salad and les oeufs meurette were delicious! The waiters speaking french definitly gave an additional « french touch » to the restaurant. I will come back!”
“We came on a weekday for a quick lunch. Service was fast and friendly. Croque Monsieur - sandwich was crispy and addicting. Very cheesy and decadent Mussels - decent portion of mussels. Cooked to just right Steak tartare - loved the flavours on the steak tartare. Interestingly the steak tartare was in chunks and not grinded which was welcome for me Chocolate nousse- okay but I would pass next time Fries and salad came with each dish. The fried are so addicting and morrish. A bit of old oil flavour which is understandable considering the amount they are frying. It's not crispy but instead very potatoey. The sauce that it comes with (like mayo) went so well with it. Could eats lots of it. Salad was also a welcome addition to make it feel a bit healthier Overall great little French lunch spot”
