Bistro classics in the Commercial Street Village. A comfortable little dining room, and four bar seats with an open view to the kitchen. Our menu is comprised of smaller sharing plates, and larger entrees. Our local farms and suppliers shape our seasonal menu, and we always have daily specials on the chalkboard. Our wine list is short, focused, and mostly French. We favour winemakers doing things the old way ... harvesting by hand without pesticides.
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible dining experience at Collective Goods Bistro! The service was exceptional from start to finish. A special thank you to Judah and Kira, who were knowledgeable, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the evening. Chef de Partie Harrison also deserves recognition for helping create a truly memorable meal. The wine selection was outstanding, and the appetizers, entrées, and wine pairings were expertly matched. The steak frites was cooked perfectly, and the daily specialties showcased the creativity and skill of the kitchen. Every dish reflected authentic French flair and flavours. And the desserts—simply the best way to finish the evening. Absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. If you’re looking for a fantastic French-inspired dining experience in Vancouver, this is a must-visit. Open Wednesday through Sunday, and reservations are highly recommended. Dog friendly patio!! We’ll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“We’ve always liked Collective Goods and have been there a few times, but this visit was even better than the last. The food continues to be great, thoughtful flavours, beautifully plated, and everything felt really well executed. We had the sablefish, steak frites, duck, chicken liver mousse, cocktail shrimp, and salad, and every dish was memorable in its own way. Service was very attentive throughout the evening and really elevated the experience. And the rhubarb tart was absolutely delicious, easily one of the highlights of the meal. Always a solid spot, and this visit reminded us why we keep coming back.”
“Had a birthday party for my wife here and it was such a great experience. The staff had a little birthday card signed by them waiting in the middle of the table. The service was great, with detailed explanations of the menu and constant water refilling. The atmosphere was very cozy with music playing but didn't feel like it was too loud as to overpower conversations. I'm a very picky eater so I was a bit apprehensive with the menu but I decided to extend out of my comfort zone and was rewarded. The smoked oysters were alone worth going there for. I got the steak frites with the mushroom sauce and I usually don't like mushrooms but the sauce was a nice compliment to the flavourful steak. The steak had a nice char on the outside that perfectly complimented the amazing fries. One of the reviews complain about the food being too salty, but I found the salt levels to be perfection. The cocktails were also good, and I look forward to trying some of the others. Highly recommend as a good date spot. I also appreciated the gender neutral bathrooms. My wife and I will be returning.”
“We had the best experience here last night!! Judah took care of us and he gave the best recommendations, they truly did not disappoint. We did the tasting menu and the food was so incredibly delicious we left so full. The vibes and atmosphere are unmatched, so cozy! The service across the board was unreal, we cannot WAIT to go back. If you’re thinking about it, just make the reso and go. This place is such a hidden gem. 🫶🏽”
“We got pretty lucky this time and were seated in a cute little nook, which made the whole experience even better. Their Dine Out Vancouver menu is designed for sharing — five courses split between two people. I thought both the flavors and the doneness of the ingredients were executed really well. Portion-wise, it’s what you’d typically expect from French cuisine, but at this price it’s absolutely worth it. Written on the last day of Dine Out Vancouver 2026 — hopefully see you again next year.”
