“Went to Crawford & Sons for dinner tonight. I have not been here since before Covid. I was enticed by their online menu which included hamachi crudo. It was amazing. The mushroom appetizer special was perfect for solo dining. The sauce / gravy on the mushroom special was very delicious and savory. The two very lightly fried eggs made this an exquisite brunch menu item.”
“My wife and I came here last night after our court house wedding. They treated us so well, giving us a great table to watch the sunset and complementary bubbles to celebrate. The chef even cut our swordfish into hearts- so thoughtful and full of details. Was a great experience overall and lives up to the hype, I will be sad to see the risotto go as it was simply divine. 10/10 experience, highly recommend for a celebratory evening.”
“First of all, Wow! Food was delicious and service was spot on. The dirty martini, appetizers, entrees, and dessert all impressed me. Our server Sydney, was the most memorable server I’ve ever had. I work in the restaurant industry and have been to many fine dining restaurants, but this is now one of my favorites. Sydney was amazing and made the experience a 100/10. She is an absolute delight and her recommendations were perfect. I would definitely go back for not only the food but the top tier service!”
“Very inventive dishes (loved the bone marrow tartare and crab risotto) but they lean a bit more on the saltier side. We decided to forgo the entrees since they seemed a little plain and just ordered appetizers, which was the right move - portions are pretty generous and presentation is nice. The blood orange pistachio cake was a good finisher, and paired well with the blood orange tequila cocktail. Service was very attentive, too! Our meal came out to ~80pp with 1 cocktail each, 4 appetizers, and 1 dessert between two people. Kind of pricey (and the entrees are much more expensive) but overall a solid choice.”
“The food was not as good as expected. We were two people, and for the price we paid, the quality was very mediocre. Don’t get me wrong — the food is decent, but it is totally overpriced. The waffle and quail were oily and very average. The cocktails were good, and the wagyu short rib was just okay. The biggest disappointment was the duck breast. You could really notice the lack of proper cooking technique — it was chewy and tough. Very disappointing. The desserts were good, but at these prices you expect high quality across the board. I can see why they didn’t earn a Michelin star; they are far from that level. To be fair, the service was great and the people working there were really nice and attentive, which we appreciated. In summary, it’s good food but overpriced, and you can get the same quality at many other restaurants in Raleigh for half the price. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you have $250 to waste.”
