“Lost Letter is a gem! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and highly professional. They are some of the best in the industry. My husband and I have been several times. Every time I’ve gotten up from the table, my napkin has been neatly folded by the time I’m back. They also wipe the table between courses which is nice. The meals I’ve had at Lost Letter have been some of the best I’ve ever had. The food is always picturesque and so thoughtfully curated. “Fantastic place. Great for groups, date night or solo dining. Sat at the bar, bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me pick out several drinks, and answered any questions I had on the menu. Loved my meal and the cocktails/ wine selection were fabulous. 10/10, can't wait to come back again.”

“We tried Lost Letter after rave reviews. The service was almost too good as the staff are super attentive leaving little room for time alone to talk. The food was beautifully prepared although very heavy on the salt. Menu choices sparse and no specials. The plates were heavy on the accompanying side, so the main meat wasn’t noticed first just the fluff under it, as you can see. I have had better and more flavorful octopus elsewhere. I was a tad disappointed as we frequent new restaurants in town and this one fell a little short of what I thought I was going to experience. No a no go just not the best either.”

“I was really looking forward to trying out the food at Lost Letters. So, I booked my reservation for birthday to treat myself since the plates were on the higher end. Hands down the restaurant atmosphere is beautiful and really nice. I felt like I was transported out of Richmond to somewhere you would come across in California. When we were seated, we were warmly greeted by the restaurant’s sommelier and later our server. We ordered drinks looked over menu and once we finally got our drinks and placed our order. Things started to go downhill from here. The staff were not attentive. When the basket of bread and olive oil was served, we were not given bread additional plates and had to wait a bit to start our first course. While we were waiting for plates, I wanted to get the service staffs attention because I had finished my cocktail. I was met with an abrasive tone. The sommelier overheard and asked if there was anything that I needed and tended to me quickly. We eventually received bread plates and our meals. Personally, I think the leeks were not an appealing and easy to eat meal. The utensil we had did not cut the leeks really well. It was something that was very awkward to eat. Another thing that I was disappointed about was that I rarely saw the individual that was waiting on our table. Furthermore, the table wasn’t cleared of dishes as frequently as I would hope for this sort of establishment. Also, I had to request another drink from another wait staff member. The food hear was decent but personally I believe that are some really good alternatives locally if you want your money to go further.”
