The Waterwheel Restaurant is a New American restaurant in the Warm Springs neighborhood of Warm Springs.
“What a gem in the warm springs area! I only wished I lived closer to go more often. We arrived on a Saturday night for a girls dinner. The building is beautiful with old wooden beams, wooden floors, and the historic water wheel just outside of the restaurant. Reservations were easily made online that week. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the front door. We were very impressed by the service and friendliness of the staff - including our waitress. We ordered the bread plate appetizer, iceberg wedge salad to share, Rigatoni Bolognese as our main dishes, and the bread pudding for dessert. Incredible food! Can't think of one negative thing to say about any of the dishes. Looking forward to coming back with my husband soon. Thank you for a wonderful evening!”
“🏞️ This Virginia mountain gem is a must-visit for any foodie. 🍽️ With the smallest bar on the East Coast, a historic Gristmill setting, and a menu boasting the finest selections, including a wine cellar and pairing service, it's an unforgettable culinary journey. 🍷 Make it a priority! ✨ #travelfoodies #foodies”
“I really enjoyed the care to detail, the professionalism and nice demeanor of the staff. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese and my wife had the Maple Leaf Duck Breast and I believe the Sea Bass. She didn't like the Sea Bass that much but others may like it. I also had the Cream of Six Onion Soup. No complaints at all. Employees are comfortable in their jobs. Most have workd there for a long time. I also enjoyed the Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ice Cream Dessert. The restaurant is nicely laid out with a ground floor and an upstairs and a very small bar. Dress is nice casual to more formal. No complaints whatsoever. It has been in business for a while. I have a picture of my Rigatoni below”
“We loved our experience here. Its a lovely, cozy restaurant with an old-world feeling. Definitely have a look at the wine cellar after you dine. We appreciated the attention to detail with the menu. They use local ingredients and hand make everything!”
“We made reservations online for the waterwheel due to its historical background and we wanted to eat at a nice restaurant during our honeymoon. This restaurant was very classy even though it's in an old mill. The server, Kendal, was extremely helpful in picking dishes, bringing items for us, and checking on us to make sure we are enjoying ourselves. The food was fantastic, I received the shrimp succotash and my husband ordered the ribeye with broccoli and baked mac and cheese. We received a maple sour cream cake for dessert on the house due to our festivities as well as a hand written card from the staff.”
