“First time here tonight & will definitely be back! The service was great, good atmosphere, amazing food & mocktails. Parker rolls & eggplant dip were great. Jerk chicken was juicy, shrimp & grits was extremely flavorful.”
“11/10 - Always perfect. Just the right amount of wood smoked kiss to the dishes 🤌🏼 We had a bottle of German Pinot Noir and started with the pierogi and oysters. Of course we got the Parker house rolls which are a perfect salty-sweet balance with the whipped honey drizzled butter. I had the scallop special while my husband had the pistachio crusted salmon. We sat at a hightop in the back for a 645pm reservation; were able to seat us a bit early. The bar is great! Highly recommend for it's own vibe! Service is off the charts. Atmosphere is quaint but energetic. Must-go!”
“Nice atmosphere. Loud but the tables are spaced well so a couple can talk without shouting. Service was excellent. My issues is that the flavors are overloaded, so that any subtlety was lost. The dinner rolls were delicious - pillowy white clouds of dough, with honey-sweetened button. The eggplant/tahini dip was okay. There was a slight bitterness to it, which can happen with eggplant. The wonton chips were dark brown, and we felt they were over fried. I got the hanger steak with duck fat fries. These were potato patties in the shape of cubes with flavoring, not actual fries. The red wine demi covered every slice of steak. Citrus marinade? Black garlic aioli? Duck fat? Charred tomato salsa? I guess so. I was unable to separate the flavors. They were all shouting for attention. Personally I like to be able to sample things individually, and then combine the flavors, so I could appreciate them better. Perhaps I should have asked for the sauce on the side? Likewise the pistachio crust, white bean & bacon puree, swiss chard, and beurre rouge were on the salmon. It was hard to tell what was what. Seneca provided a handy hook to hang pocketbooks so they don't end up on the floor, and I appreciated that they devoted a section of the wall showing the source of many of their supplies.”
“Dining at Seneca is special. The food and drinks are exceptional. Everyone, & I mean everyone starts with the Parker House rolls. They're huge, fluffy & addicting. The grilled hanger steak is superb. Wine selection is impressive and so are the cocktails. I recently had the autumn-inspired old fashioned. It was smooth & delicious. Service is always pleasant & attentive. A must try if you haven't been.”
“Paul was my bartender. He created a simple mocktail and I had some pierogies. I felt rushed. He was attentive, but was needy for my seat for the next customer. I over tipped him due to him, asking if I wanted to change. I didn’t feel comfortable next to the people that were sitting next to me drinking alcohol at the bar and no one addressed that they were douches they more concerned about me leaving Although I was sober.”
