“First-time here and loved it. Wife got a steamed lobster and a shrimp platter. She loved it. My 10oz sirloin was cooked perfectly medium. Juicy and the sauce delicious. It came with a side of broccoli mash potatoes which I had to keep my wife from eating all of them”
“I went here with a group of nine friends, and we all had such a great experience! The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, and the staff did a fantastic job handling a big group like ours. Everyone ordered something different, which gave us the chance to sample a wide range of dishes — and honestly, everything we tried was delicious. The highlight for me was definitely the clam chowder and lobster roll. The clam chowder smelled amazing the moment it arrived — rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It had that perfect balance of smooth texture with chunks of tender clams that made it really satisfying. The lobster roll was equally impressive — buttery, fresh, and full of sweet lobster meat. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients. I also tried the Midnight Margarita, and it was fantastic — refreshing with just the right balance of sweetness and tartness. It paired perfectly with the seafood dishes. One of my friends ordered a whole lobster, and he absolutely loved it. The lobster was cooked perfectly and came out tender and juicy. Overall, we all left happy and full. The portions were generous, the presentation was clean, and the flavors were spot on. Whether you’re going with a group of friends or on a date night, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Came for lunch. I might do dinner next time as the menu for dinner has additional options. Plenty of parking and the interior was clean and pleasant. Staff, though thinly staffed were pleasant. Also has outdoor seating. Menu was well laid out and not overwhelming with a simple, straight forwardness.had 3 oysters for an appetizer. On the smaller side but fresh and tasty. Got the combo N.E./RI chowder. I would go for one or the other next time. Not a big deal about it. The combo fried plaid was a good sized portion - you will not be hungry after that. I opted for the scallops, calamari and whole bellies. Scallops and whole bellies did not disappoint. The calamari had no seasoning or taste. Coleslaw was good but the chickpea salad was doused and sitting in a pool of liquid as opposed to dressed. Coffee was served in a French press which was a nice touch and the ice box cake was very good. I was told it was made in house. After lunch went to the seafood shop on the other side and got some fish to make for dinner! I will be back and fully reccomend.”
“Service was great! Very nice and on top of everything! The lobster bisque was disappointing if you like lobster chunks in your bisque- this is only a cream based version and not very hot - The raw bar was excellent!”
“Disappointing experience. I had high hopes for Close Harbour Seafood, especially when I saw they served their lobster rolls with warm butter rather than mayonnaise. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst lobster rolls I've ever had. Having eaten lobster rolls all over Maine, I know exactly how fresh lobster should taste and feel, and this wasn't it. The meat tasted as if it had been frozen and then microwaved. The consistency of the meat was bizarre—almost like an overcooked scallop, which you can see in the video. Every restaurant can have an off day, so I might return at some point to try something else, but I would definitely never order the lobster roll here again.”
