The Copper Fox is an American restaurant in the Springfield neighborhood of Springfield.
“Had dinner with a group of friends, Apps, entrees, drinks and deserts were all fantastic. We were very happy with the service and food. Got told by my friend I always know how to pick a great one. Dirty potatoes, prickly pear and charred maple steak stole the show.”
“Great spot! Three of us dined here and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We drove over from Woodstock and it was a quick, easy trip. I ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich and it was excellent — the bacon-onion jam really made it. The maple charred strip steak looked amazing and my brother-in-law said it was very good. My sister really enjoyed the Caesar salad. The vibe inside is cozy and inviting. By the end of the meal, we were already talking about coming back again!”
“We stumbled into The Copper Fox and left already planning the next visit. The food was outstanding, the service on point, and the vibe hit that perfect sweet spot of cool and relaxed. From the moment you walk in, the aesthetic tells a story—clean lines, copper-topped tables, bold fox art, and a cozy hearth that makes the room feel warm without trying too hard. Music and lighting stay in the background so the conversation (and the food) can shine. It’s stylish, unfussy, and comfortable. Mr. Fox Pizza Ultra-thin, blistered crust with a great crackle. The pepperoni had just the right sizzle, the ricotta dollops added creamy pockets, and the basil brightened every bite. Balanced, craveable, and dangerously easy to finish. Buttermilk Fried Chicken Golden, shattering crunch outside, tender and juicy inside. Served over a tangy slaw that cuts the richness and a creamy dipping sauce that I’d happily buy by the jar. Simple, confident, perfectly seasoned. Wild Mushroom Pizza Earthy mushrooms layered over that same crisp crust, finished with a shower of shaved cheese and a fresh tumble of arugula. It’s the “one more slice” kind of pizza—bright, savory, and satisfying without feeling heavy. Scallops & Corn Risotto A comfort-bowl masterpiece. Sweet corn and silk-smooth risotto with beautifully cooked scallops, topped with fresh herbs for lift. Every spoonful hits creamy, sweet, and briny notes in balance. Lemon Curd Bramble (dessert) A tall glass of joy—silky lemon curd, whipped cream, and buttery crumble. Tart, bright, and refreshing; the ideal finish! Service was the definition of hospitality: warm welcome, smart pacing between courses, waters topped off without asking, and helpful guidance on the menu. You can feel a team that cares about the guest experience. The Copper Fox delivers across the board—thoughtful cooking, polished service, and a chill, modern atmosphere that makes you want to linger. If you’re deciding what to order, start with the Mr. Fox Pizza and Fried Chicken, add the Wild Mushroom Pizza to share, treat yourself to the Scallops & Corn Risotto, and don’t skip the Lemon Curd Bramble. Epic meal. We’ll be back soon.”
“Upscale, casual restaurant with amazing food. This place was hopping on a Wednesday night. Cozy atmosphere with a gentleman playing the guitar and singing. Hubby started with the soup of the day, I had the tuna for an entree and I was still thinking about it the next day, that's how good it tasted. He enjoyed his pork loin as well. Service was a tad slow, but there were several large groups of people. Server was very pleasant and friendly.”
“My husband and I went here for the first time on Valentine's Evening, I had been wanting to try it and we had a friend who was alone whose wife was out of town...so we went. We tried the cheese tray to start, it was tasty, but over priced. My husband tried the scallops and pasta dish, the scallops were cooked to perfection, but there was far too much balsamic in the sauce...it was way too tangy. I was really looking forward to butternut squash gnocchi, but the gnocchi was very dry...I was really disappointed with that; especially since we arrived very early. Our friend at the chicken, he was very happy with it. Overall, for the price, I was disappointed in the food. To add to that, no one said word to a table with children that were being allowed to run around and be quite loud, disrupting the dining experiences of everyone around them. This is a big date night for people, this restaurants' atmosphere doesn't strike me as a "family" restaurant. Management could have discreetly said something to them.”
