“My daughter and I were excited to finally try this restaurant in my new neighborhood after walking by it countless times. Since we didn’t have a reservation, we arrived early and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. From the moment we walked in, we loved everything about the place. The décor is beautiful, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff was fantastic. The menu offers so many great options, and the cocktails were even better than expected. Our server, Rosie, provided excellent recommendations, and we genuinely loved everything we ordered. They also offer a great happy hour until 6 PM, which is a nice bonus. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I highly recommend giving it a try. One small note: We didn’t realize a 20% gratuity had already been added to our bill. That’s partially on us for not catching it on the credit card slip, (we tipped in cash)but I do think it would be helpful if servers mentioned it when presenting the check. I typically prefer to tip in cash, so on our $62 tab, we ended up leaving a $34 tip. Even with that little surprise, we’ll absolutely be back. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all worth another visit!”

“Looking for a quaint, classy, but lively bar/restaurant? This is definitely a great spot to try on Grand Ave in St Paul! This was our first experience trying oysters, and we were thoroughly impressed. We tried both traditional oysters and the Rockefeller oysters. I HIGHLY recommend the Rockefeller oysters but both were delicious 😋 their salads are harty and delicious, as well as their smashburhers! We also tried their old fashions and "Don't Mind if I don't" which were both scrumptious. Definitely looking forward to coming back here again!”

“The ambiance here is wonderful! They can make some of the dishes vegan! I’ve done the raspberry crunch salad & the roasted garlic bulb without cheese and they’re great! The drinks are also fantastic.”

“Favorite spot in the Twin Cities. Service was excellent, kept my water glass filled the whole time and the kitchen was so quick. Thank you Josie and Bea for a wonderful evening. The citrus arugula salad was perfection and my drink (Angels in the Garden— gin, lavender, etc) was beautifully made. Also had the goat cheese, kale salad, the nachos, and the coconut curried sea bass. Each dish was amazing! Can’t wait to come back here. I ❤️ Bar Cart and its staff.”

“Drinks were great. Food was very tasty. The curry is not too spicy. Good flavorful heat from jalapeños. Also tried the burger and fries, very very good! The space was tight, it was loud and you are limited to time at your table.”
