“We cannot thank the team at the Commodore enough for hosting our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner on June 11th. After an unexpected complication with our original venue left us scrambling less than two weeks before the event, the Commodore stepped in and saved the day. Courtney was incredibly prompt, helpful, and accommodating during a highly stressful time, helping us transition everything over seamlessly on such short notice. The execution of the entire evening was flawless: The Atmosphere: The room setup and ambiance were wonderful - exactly the elegant, welcoming setting we were looking for. Having the use of the baby grand piano added a beautiful touch to the evening. The Bar: The bartender, Ted, did a fantastic job pleasantly handling all the last-minute setup and stocking, and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the excellent drinks. The Service: Our servers, Sonia and Jack, were attentive and wonderful throughout the night. They frequently checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed, all while keeping a warm, delightful attitude. They truly went above and beyond. Thank you to the Commodore team for your incredible hospitality and flexibility. You turned a last-minute venue switch into a perfect, memorable evening for our family. We highly recommend the Commodore!”
“Wonderful service and atmosphere!! The board was t the best but the rest of the food and drinks were great!”
“Definitely a pricy splurge. The atmosphere is totally worth it, though! The wifi password is...clever. Myrna Loy will give you the side-eye in the gents' if you're not careful. I really hope they iron out the kinks in the kitchen, it took an hour to go from apps to mains for some reason.”
“A classic, take you back ambience to this place! Great cocktails, but our service was below par, many errors to the experience and slow lag times ( taking us 2.5 hours) and the pricing of the food too high for what was received. Our bill totaled $300 plus for 4 people. The charcuterie board was a joke for the cost. It was served on a white plastic piece. When delivered 2 staff could not explain what was on it, it was sparse and not up to a "true" charcuterie experience . Our entree's were "meh", my husbands steak was cold, and my friend and I ordered pork medallions the size of a quarter along with 3 Brussel sprouts on the plate. Our other friend ordered 3 crab cake sliders. Very disappointed in quantity. Waitress told us Creme Brulé and Fig Mousse for dessert. We ordered both. Creme Brulé was coffee flavored and both my husband and I do not drink coffee or like it in the least and we felt misinformed. The fig mousse was ok for something new. Overall, left the restaurant fairly hungry and will not recommend or go back again. My friend that was along with her husband is a chef, she was cordial about the experience. I was devastated about the outcome as they were our guests. Not returning there.”
“A friend and I came here for Valentine’s Day dinner the service and atmosphere were cute and good, but I can’t say the same for the food. There was a special Valentine’s Day menu that consisted of three courses of an appetizer and entrée and a dessert. We ordered the oysters in the lobster bisque. The oysters were fine, but they were definitely on the smaller side. The bisque, however, tasted straight from the ocean, and it had a very strong pepper taste to it. We both ordered the short rib with polenta. The short rib itself was good. The polenta I wasn’t a fan of, and it came with 2 to 3 stocks of asparagus. The dessert we chose a vanilla crème brûlée, which was a little disappointing because the middle was soupy so it wasn’t fully set. All in all for the price I don’t think it matches well for the quality of food.”
