“We enjoyed brunch at the Colossal. There was plenty of outdoor seating and there wasn't a lot of street traffic. Good food, fair value. It's counter service, but they bring your food out to you and clear your dishes when you're done. I would definitely go back.”
“What a fantastic breakfast experience! 😍🍳 The food arrived surprisingly fast, which was a great start, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The real standout was the chorizo eggs benedict monthly special. 🌟🔥 As someone who almost always orders eggs benedict when it's on the menu, I can honestly say this was the best version I've ever had! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the chorizo added an amazing kick, and every bite was absolutely incredible. 🤤👏 I also tried the bison biscuits and gravy. 🦬🍽️ While it wasn't quite as memorable as the benedict, it was still enjoyable and well prepared. The portions were satisfying, and there was nothing disappointing about the dish. The service was another highlight. 😊☕ The servers were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The coffee was fresh and flavorful, making the meal even better. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely be returning soon to try more of their menu. Highly recommended! ❤️🙌”
“If you’re looking for a place with great made-from-scratch breakfast food, this spot is a must-visit. They truly know how to do breakfast right. While the food might take a bit longer to arrive compared to a chain restaurant, the wait is definitely worth it. The flavors are exceptional, showcasing thoughtful and delicious flavor profiles in every dish. If you’re unsure of what to order, I highly recommend trying the Colossal Breakfast. Don’t forget to add a side of pork bison gravy—it’s the perfect complement to your meal. The portion sizes are generous without being overwhelming, and the prices are very reasonable, ranging from $10 to $15. Be prepared for a bit of a crowd, as this place can get busy, and parking might be a challenge. However, the quality of the food makes it all worthwhile. It’s definitely a breakfast destination worth checking out.”
“Friendly staff. Well organized. Found us a table for five even in a fairly small dining area. Order at counter, but deliver to table. Fun colossal pastries. Cinnamon roll was tasty, but very sweet and a little chewy. Savory scone was warm, soft on the inside and great mix of flavors. Pancakes were cooked on the outside, but seemed gummy inside. Eggs Benedict Caprese was a fun and delicious variant.”
“I have a soft spot for Colossal Cafe but I've often felt their food is overpriced, and I feel quality has slightly declined over the years. They make consistently good food, however, and staff have always been friendly and helpful with great service. Worth a visit, especially if you want to venture beyond a standards eggs-meat-and-hashbrowns breakfast and get one of their bowls or specials. If you just want a basic breakfast, though, a diner is a better bet.”
