“First time here, and it was an amazing experience. Our waiter was fantastic, taking time and walking us through the menu, making great suggestions. We never felt rushed and were able to sit outside and just enjoy. We had oysters, moules frites, Pork Tenderloin Oscar, and Veal Poularski. Great wine parings, too.”

“Everything was outstanding. Our table was delayed despite a reservation so everyone got multiple free drinks showing their apologies and respect for our time. All of the food was perfectly cooked and delicious, the server made excellent suggestions and clearly knew the menu inside out.”

“Finally got to try this place after living here for some time. After hearing rave reviews about their brunch, I was quite excited. Began with their famous fries and beignets - fries were ok, but the beignets had some kind of consistency and taste that didn’t feel right. It felt like clumps of dough they just fried. Their croque monsieur was classic enough. I got the duck confit with hash brown and egg. Those eggs were pillowy soft and delicious and Meritage does the sauces right, but the tomato drowns out everything else. Interesting to find a Dutch pancake on their menu, it was all right. Service was fine, not great but not bad. Overall and average experience.”

“My family and I had been looking forward to going to Meritage for a long time, and finally we were able to go tonight….as much as I would love to say it was a positive experience, it was beyond horrible. We all ordered the steak and frites, after amazing review in the paper we were very disappointed with the meals ordered. They had advertised the steak and fries as a special promotion of $35, but charged us $42 PLUS the hollandise sauce was up charged an additional $5, which had not been disclosed by our server. The steaks came and we had ordered them medium, they were completely CHARRED CHARRED and burnt on the outside and inside were completely bloody. The French fries were way over salted and that’s all you could taste was the salt! For a Resturant who is supposedly known for fries this was shocking. How do you over salt them???? We also ordered the Brussel sprouts with bacon, those too were COMPLETELY burnt!!! The bacon was so burnt it was like hard nuggets in the dish. The resturant was so busy and extremely loud, it was impossible to have any conversation let alone hear each other at our table. It was so noisy!!!! The service was subpar, no offerings of refills on our drinks. No offering of and additional bread, only one measley piece of burnt bread per person that was extremely tough to eat and that too was burnt! At one point the manager was reprimanding a server right in front of our table, by the entrance to the main doorway room. If there is a problem he should take the server and have the discussion somewhere else. Plus just getting into the resturant was very unwelcoming!!! The main door was closed off and a small sign said you had to go thru the main building entrance. I should have had all three meals and Brussels sprouts returned to the kitchen, yes it was that bad, but I am one of those people who hate HATE to make a scene as well as I hate to complain, especially in a crowded resturant. To top it off the men’s bathroom had NO running water in the sink….tell me how the employees are washing their hands?? Needless to say, I will not be returning after a very very very disappointing meal that cost ALLOT of money!!! I would be embarrassed to serve that meal to my dogs, let alone patrons paying over $200 for a party of 3 🤮”
