“My family and I love this restaurant. Since moving from the NYC/NJ/Philly area it has been very difficult to find a really great Italian restaurant-excellent food, service and ambiance. This place has all 3. It’s known as a steakhouse, I feel it’s an Italian restaurant too. The homemade pastas, sauces and appetizers are all Italian inspired and prepared. I feel the pricing is fair too. The portions are decent and the quality is there. If you don’t order anything else the rice (arancini) balls and the housemade pasta are a must.”

“Me and my plus one went to il Lusso for Valentine’s Day and the food was THE BOMB! We ordered the Caesar salad to start, Parmesan crusted Veal and Broccolini as our dishes, and we had ice cream for dessert. Everything was spectacular! The only problem was booking because it only allowed reservations for 9:30 PM on Resy on Valentine’s Day but they close at 10:00 PM. So we were rushing to get the food in before the kitchen closed but it still took awhile to come out. I also booked it exactly 30 days from the date when the slot opened and i was unable to book for anything other than 9:30 PM. 8/10 stars otherwise!”

“TLDR: Great wine selection, cocktails and atmosphere. Disappointing food and inconvenient menu. Longer version: Before we got to order, our server had to explain our menu, translate the names and walk us through most of the dishes listed on it. While I commend his memory, I feel like needing a 5 minute tutorial just to figure out how to order is a bit redundant. I had a glass of red wine and my partner had a fruity cocktail, which were both great. We had the ceviche as an appetizer, which really was more of a spicy sashimi, which we've both enjoyed nonetheless. My main trouble was when I ordered the squid ink pasta. Upon taking a bite, I was met with a very unpleasant crunchiness. I initially thought that some of the mussel shells broke into small bits, but later on realized that this was probably a result of the mussels not being cleaned properly. I had a hard time enjoying the flavor while my mind was concerned as to whether I was eating broken shells or sand. My partner had the 8oz filleto, which she absolutely loved. However, she mysteriously had to throw up in the bathroom 30 minutes later. Take that as you will. Also for anyone interested in the foie gras: They do not serve slices like you'd expect, but rather shave it on top of whichever dish you order. The service was okay, though we both did find our server to be a bit pushy in ordering more. Overall I would not come back to eat here, however this is a genuinely fine place for drinking, and is an enjoyable setting to talk and relax.”
