Bistro 234 is an European restaurant in the Turlock neighborhood of Turlock.
“A pleasant place to go for lunch with a good variety of options for the lunch menu ranging from under 20 to no more than 36. The chorus is quite nice for Turlock and parking was not that difficult to find.”
“I can easily say this was the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. The Wagyu was absolutely magnificent—melt-in-your-mouth quality. We started with the bruschetta and the calamari, both of which were terrific. The calamari was perfectly flaky and fresh without a hint of being 'fishy.' The ambiance was beautiful, but what really set the night apart was the service. Nikki was incredible and truly outstanding. Between the flavors and the hospitality, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back!”
“We just finished a nice birthday dinner at Bistro 234. Overall quite good, room for improvement: don't take a customer's cocktail until he is done with it (at your prices, perhaps ask first). Second, if someone is having a birthday and chose you for the special evening, at least make a little fuss, a scoop of ice cream, if not the whole "singing happy birthday" thing. It is a special day, make them feel special.”
“Was not planning on going here but passed by and decided to give it a try. The hostess was super friendly and greated us with no problem, our waitress however was kind of inhospitable, I was wearing sneakers, sweatpants, a beanie and so was my girlfriend. We felt we were not treated and best as we could've been due to how we were dressed. Have absolutely no complaints about the food or drinks, definitely a 5 star meal. The prices are kind of high for the portion that you are served.”
“Food was underwhelming, the price tag does not reflect on the quality of meal you receive. Service was slow and inattentive. I’d equate the flavor of food to any common diner. Cute spot for sure, but if you have a night out and want to have a NICE dinner to celebrate, not really the spot for it. The Ciopinno tasted like jar tomato sauce, with overcooked seafood, the steak was supposed to be medium and came out medium well to well. The short rib was edible. I’m not a fan of having a $160 bill and still getting something else after to eat because the food was so bad. Disappointing, not going back.”
