Hero's Welcome is a Pub Fare restaurant in the Vancouver neighborhood of Vancouver.
“Bartender hated my guts all the way through to my soul. But the place was awesome aside from that, feel like that might have even added to it honestly. Also, a whole day of the week dedicated to cheap strange fellows beers? Good god it doesn’t get better than that. Strange fellows + arcade games = 5/5”
“We recently came to Heroes for a friend’s get-together, and it was crazy busy on the weekend. The vibe definitely feels younger now — lots of 20-somethings, but still plenty of people in their 30s too. There are a ton of games to play, plus a photo booth, which is super fun. It’s $8 for one of the old-school photo strips, which honestly feels worth it. They also have a solid beer selection. I will say, my non-alcoholic beer was around $7, which feels a little steep — basically the same price as regular beer — so it’d be nice if the non-alc options were a bit cheaper. Aside from that, the vibe was really fun and lively. Definitely more of a casual spot, but honestly, it would be great for a first date since you can grab drinks, play games, and actually have something to do.”
“What an amazing place! They have an incredible arcade collection, including Mario Kart, the Jurassic Park shooter, claw and plush toy machines, skee‑ball, beer pong, football arcade, Buck Hunter, and even vintage pinball machines, truly something for everyone. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend it!”
“It gets super busy at night. The pizza I had was really salty for some reason. They got some good games and pool tables - the servers were nice. Awesome dive bar in general!”
“My brother and I went to Heroes Welcome for what was supposed to be a great night out. We were having a fantastic time, minding our own business, laughing and enjoying ourselves until a group of people who were clearly on drugs came into the bar. They immediately started making rude and aggressive comments toward us. It escalated quickly when one of them threw a drink right on my brother. We did the responsible thing and went straight to security/bouncers to get help. Instead of dealing with the troublemakers, the bouncers told us that we had to leave. We got kicked out for doing absolutely nothing wrong. When we tried to explain what happened, one of the bouncers actually said, “Well that’s never happened to me” like it was no big deal. We were completely shocked. We came to your bar to have a good time and expected staff to maintain a safe environment. Instead, the people causing the problems were allowed to stay while we the victims got thrown out. Heroes Welcome clearly doesn’t care about the safety of their customers. Zero accountability, zero protection, and zero respect for people who are just trying to enjoy their night. Extremely disappointed and will never be returning. Management needs to do something about this immediately this kind of failure is unacceptable.”
