“I recently took my my family to Bistro Du Jour for Mother’s Day. She has been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and we were not disappointed. She ended up getting the steak frites and I got the burger American. Hospitality was great. We even met one of the managers of hospitality. It’s connected to a hotel so they have pretty extensive hours. The one thing I would say was that the fries were decent but the burger was amazing. The restaurant was beautiful inside, very elegant. I look forward to going back.”
“We came here for dinner while in DC for the Cherry Blossoms, and it was a very nice dinner. The atmosphere is very quaint, the service was very good, and the food was delicious. The amuse bouche was something with goat cheese and caramelized onions, tasty. I had the Trout special, which was excellent. The green beans almandine were good, I was a little less thrilled with the scalloped potatoes. My wife had the steak frites, which was excellent (she gave me a taste). They have a nice wine selection, and I had a Sagamore Rye (from Maryland, I like to drink local).”
“We came for a birthday brunch, and had the best foods and time there. The foods came out pretty fast. All the dishes that we selected were delicious 😋, and so we're the desserts. The restaurant chain customer relation manager was at the restaurant today, came to greet us. He also gave coupon for a free appetizer at our next visit. Our waitress was attentive. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and families as well as come here again ourselves 🙂”
“This was my second French restaurant in DC in the same day, and can easily say this was the better one. I've been to Paris several and the food is just as good if not better. The escargots as a starter just blew me away! The garlic butter flavour was on point and it was clearly the best I've ever had. The Coq au vin was just as good with a nice sear on the chicken, and the veggies with lardons complimented the dish well. For dessert, I got the Chocolate Soufflé and my expectations were not as high given the lower price tag compared to other places. I was clearly mistaken because OMG this was the second time I was blown away, like dayum...the texture was silky smooth and I was pleasantly surprised with the side of Crème Anglaise Sauce which just elevated the dessert to a whole different level. The service however seemed rather distant though not rude in any way; the server probably just wanted to get through the evening. Overall in terms of the food alone, I was more than satisfied.”
“Not far from Union Station, this venue stands out with its vibrant flower decorations. It’s a spacious restaurant with a bar, featuring tasteful decor. The service is standard, nothing extraordinary. The food was decent, particularly the escargot. The steak was juicy and tender but a bit salty. I was surprised to find Macaron Au Foie so small, although it is listed on the menu. I would suggest to order at least two. I’ll definitely return to try more dishes.”
