“This was sort of a random stop for lunch and it turned out to be the best meal we’ve had in a while! We had little kids and a clunky stroller, as soon as they saw it, they immediately grabbed it and helped us on the restaurant and stored it for us. The decoration was delightful and my little girl said it reminded her of the movie encanto. Each dish we ordered was INCREDIBLE and even though we were stuffed we left wanting more. We will definitely be back for a dinner service. It might be the best restaurant at the wharf right now and I’ve been to most of them! Pic is the Cameron’s tacos with a spicy mezcal margarita. Highly recommend both. I requested the haberno sauce on the side :)”
“Stopped in Mi Vida for a happy hour drink (and possibly a fish bowl(?)). Unfortunately, they had the fish glasses but not the ingredients to make the drink on question, so simple HH drinks it was. We saddled up at the bar top and enjoyed a few cocktails, while nibbling on chips&guac and chips&salsa. Note: this is a spot that does not offer chips and salsa for free. Overall, nice spot at the wharf for high-end Mexican fare.”
“My first time patronizing was yesterday. Let me say until I was adamant about my seating being changed the lady Fabricated that it was no other seating available without reservations. Which I did have. After that was settled, food was flavorful, came out in a timely manner. This is definitely a pricey restaurant. The manager upstairs was delightful and personable. Lastly, the waitress (Catalina) came to us after being (Tipped )asking was her service not acceptable!!? I was in complete Shock! I asked why would you ask that! The unimaginable thing she said! (Because the amount of The Tip!) totally Unacceptable/ Unprofessional!! Although gratuity is not included. A customer’s Tip disbursement is by Choice. It was really an awkward, uneasy, and unacceptable experience.”
“Had a great experience at Mi Vida! The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the corn was absolutely delicious. Our waiter, I believe his name was Josh, was fantastic. He was friendly, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations that did not disappoint. The food, service, and overall atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. I’ll definitely be back!”
“We recently dined here and had an overall decent experience. When we first walked in, we waited a few minutes before being greeted, but once we were acknowledged, they seated us right away. The food was mostly good. The tacos and enchiladas had great flavor. However, the edge of the taco tortillas was extremely hard. It was so tough that it actually hurt my teeth when I bit into it, and I had to spit that part out. We were also surprised by the price of the guacamole for the amount we received. It was quite salty and felt a bit overcharged for the portion size. Another thing we noticed was the timing of the service — our chips and guacamole arrived, and then our entrées came almost immediately after, while our drinks still hadn’t arrived. The order and pacing of the food could definitely be improved. Overall, the flavors were good, but between the pricing, timing of service, and the hard tortilla, there’s room for improvement.”
