“Sababa is such a fun place and very creative. Where else are you going to find sweet potato falafel? I love the shakshuka, the coffee is always great, service is nice and we're lucky to have this wonderful place in Cleveland Park.”
“Sababa serves absolutely delicious modern Israeli cuisine. The restaurant is clean, intimate and beautiful, the servers are friendly and the dishes are fantastic. Highly recommend the roasted cauliflower and the salmon cabab.”
“The meal was well balanced from start to finish. The mezze selection was fresh and thoughtfully presented, with a nice contrast of creamy, tangy, and earthy flavors paired with warm, soft bread. The mixed grill was generous and satisfying, served over fragrant yellow rice with well-seasoned, nicely charred meats. Grilled peppers and tomatoes added smokiness, while the pickled onions brought a bright, refreshing lift. Overall, comforting, flavorful, and well executed.”
“We went here for our eighth anniversary and it did NOT disappoint. The service from Aiden, our server, was fantastic, but we also got excellent tips from the woman who sat us at the beginning. The food comes out as it is ready, and we thoroughly enjoyed ordering extra pita just so we could keep eating and enjoying the dips we had as our appetizer. My husband had the lamb kebab and we split the sea bass entree, but the cocktails were OUTSTANDING. We of course ordered a phenomenal dessert (caramel tart!) and received a complimentary glass of ginger ale for our anniversary to go with it (we had told them we didn’t want more alcohol since we were driving). The atmosphere was lovely, and the food made it utterly delightful. We can’t wait to go back!”
“we had a lovely double date and the desserts are probably the best I ever had in DC for me. However we felt like the plate portion sizing could have been more clear. The beef kofta was delicious, well-seasoned and flavorful but we didn’t feel like it was shareable sizing for a table of 4, and the staff didn’t really say what’s the recommended number of plates for a party of 4. The pomegranate mocktail was amazing. Overall we would return!”
