“DIP REVIEW ONLY: Muhammara: sweet creamy and very savory. I’d definitely try this if you are into middle eastern dips. It was perfect in so many ways: texture, flavor, color, and presentation. Hummus with nuts and lamb: Hummus itself was very smooth and phlegmatic in its complexity. Not much garlic or tahini flavor coming through. Honestly the lamb and its grease overpowered the dish. One you mix it around a bit it starts looking weird. This place is nice, wear something nice, receive something nice, pay for something nice.”
“We had an amazing dinner here! There were no reservations available and the table wait time was over an hour so we sat at the bar. We ordered the Anne Hathaway and Beruit cocktail. Both were delicious! For food, we split the garlic confit warm mezze. It is very rich and garlic forward but that’s expected. I would suggest ordering a hummus with it to mix the 2. My partner ordered the kafta beef entree and loved it. The Lebanese rice is delicious. I ordered the falafel which is the best falafel I’ve ever had. Crunchy on the outside but soft inside full of flavor. The cauliflower side was a bit too salty for our liking but had great flavors. For dessert, we split the date cake and it was fantastic. Bar service was a tad slow (waited quite some time to get our bill paid out) but understandable for the busy night and amount of people sitting here. The staff boxes up your leftovers which is a nice touch. Highly recommend overall!”
“Elegant, clean, and I would say the best bar experience by far in Detroit. I didn’t make reservations so I ended up sitting at bar; but, they offered everything at the bar. I had my drink, dinner, and got some desert to go. The bartender was a Middle Eastern look gentleman with a smile full of hospitality and friendliness. He made an amazing pomegranate non-alcoholic beer; it was magical. He also customized it for me with not adding sugar or syrup :) it was such a calm and refreshing experience! I also met a wonderful chief planner from California there and it ended up becoming a new friendship. While I was sitting, lots of people were coming and going and they all knew bar tenders and were so friendly. It seemed to me that it’s a local hub. Such a delight! I really enjoy, you’ll love it too. Just don’t forget to reserve as they have very nicely designed interior. However, the bar is so cute and welcoming too. Enjoy!”
“What is this bewitching place?! I live in the Chicago area but saw an Instagram post about the fairy floss sundae. Knew I’d be in Detroit two days later so snagged a last-minute Sunday night reservation. The end result? One of the best meals I’ve EVER had. We had a little of this and that - hummus, Lebanese rice, fattoush, falafel, etc. the real standout was the chicken wings. I have never had such delectable wings in my life. The were a little lemony, a little garlicky, crunchy… so dang good. It was my BFFs birthday, so she received the aforementioned fairy floss sundae (and a card!), and it was as delicious as the post on Insta made it seem. The vibe in the restaurant was cool and everyone working was nice and seemed happy to chat and make recommendations. A+ experience all around. I will be back!”
“Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and interior design. The service was excellent, and they have a solid drink menu. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the ambiance. It wasn’t bad, but for the price I expected much better quality and flavor. I’d come back for the drinks and atmosphere, but not necessarily for the food.”
