Translating to 'heart, captured' in Farsi, Delbar is a love letter to the influential dishes that shaped Fares’ (owner) youth and the women in his life who instilled his deep appreciation for Middle Eastern cooking. Hailing from Gorgan, Iran, Kargar grew up in the kitchen alongside his mom, aunts and grandmother. When first developing Delbar, he recounted his family’s regular get-togethers where brothers and sisters, cousins, and parents would gather round as Kargar’s grandmother dished warm, toasted bread straight from her tandoor oven. Our menu is a vibrant medley of Iranian, Turkish, Lebanese, and Israeli flavors, each dish carefully crafted to evoke nostalgia and curiosity. Served à la carte, our dishes invite sharing and promise to captivate even the most discerning palate.
“Delbar was an incredible experience. The atmosphere and vibe is fantastic. The service was really friendly and very attentive. And the food was absolutely fantastic. Delbar is a Michelin Guide restaurant and I totally understand why. I love Mediterranean Food and Delbar and the best that I’ve ever had, and probably some of the best food in general that I’ve ever had. I was absolutely blown away by the food at Delbar. To make things even better, it’s not that pricey. You get a lot of food and for the quality, it’s very fair pricing. Everything I had was incredible. The Lamb Neck was some of the most tender and best meat I’ve ever had. The meat is on a bone which can be a bit tough to get, but not a dealbreaker or anything by any means. If you’re in the area, you HAVE to go to Delbar!”
“We visited Delbar Inman Park before 4:30 PM on a Monday holiday and sat on their patio, which had a very nice atmosphere. We started with flat water and were given rosewater-scented hot towels, which was a lovely touch. They also brought out complimentary vegetables, walnuts, cheese, and bread. As a Persian, I think this could be improved with a little more variety of fresh herbs, but overall it was a very nice start to the meal. Our waitress, Rachael, was attentive and helpful with the menu. We ordered the wings, koofteh Tabrizi, adas polo, and dill labneh. The wings were tender, deliciously marinated, and served with a great sauce. The koofteh Tabrizi, in my opinion, is a must-try. It had a beautiful blend of herbs and lamb, with fig and plum in the center, served in a delicious pomegranate-based sauce and topped with pistachios. It was perfect. The adas polo and dill labneh were also delicious, but I would say the wings and koofteh Tabrizi were in a different league. There was also a small misunderstanding with a lamb neck order that we did not intend to place, but Rachael handled it very professionally and kindly removed it from our order. For dessert, we ordered Persian tea and baklava. The baklava came in two large pieces and was very good. The tea was served in a large pot with extra hot water on the side in case we wanted to dilute it, which was a nice touch. Both the tea and baklava were delicious. One area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the tea pots and cups. They were not terrible, but for a restaurant at this level, I think they could be a bit better. Overall, we had a great experience. They boxed our leftovers nicely and even gave us extra bread, which we appreciated. We would definitely come back.”
“Here’s a polished version of your review: Went to Delbar in Inman Park for dinner with a group of colleagues and had a wonderful experience. We had a set dinner menu, which was very thoughtfully crafted, and even the drink names were clever and creative. The food was excellent, with very generous portions, and everything we tried was delicious. The meal was served family-style, which made the experience more interactive and perfect for sharing with a group. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the service throughout the evening was great. Overall, it’s definitely a restaurant worth trying if you are looking for great food, a fun atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience.”
“Excellent food and ambiance. I especially recommend the basmati rice dishes, the salmon, and getting a few of the condiment dips. Everything we ate was very good. It’s a bit expensive, but not actually too expensive - they ride the like between quality and fairness quite well. I could imagine other restaurants charging more (because it’s “exotic” which, in 2026, not really, our standards for “normal” need to be higher than Wendy’s or Subway) and then not being worth it at all - where Delbar stands, they stand perfectly. You will eat well if you come, no doubt about it.”
“My friend and I did a Christmas gift exchange here the other day, and WOW!!! First of let me start by saying Amanda (out server) and Jason (our bartender) were freaking AMAZING!!!!! they lost definitely made the experience! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was Soo top tier! We all said we will be back sooner than later and to top it off it was reasonable considering the portion sizes and the authentic flavors. Thx again Amanda you were great and knew that menu!!!”
