“Saffy’s makes it very easy to understand the hype. It was packed, the energy was high, and while the front felt a little cold at first, the room warmed up quickly and the service overall was absolutely amazing. There’s a confidence here that comes through in the food, cocktails, and pacing. The major standout for me was the red snapper tagine. The tomato base had the perfect level of spice, layered with ginger, turmeric, potato, serrano, and cilantro, and it still felt clean, bright, and healthy. Served with that delicious coconut rice, it was the dish I would come back for. The grilled lobster skewer with green harissa and serrano-lime yogurt had such a home-cooked warmth to it, almost like something your grandma would proudly put in front of you, but with restaurant-level polish. The hummus ful with extra bread is also a must, rich, comforting, and exactly the kind of dish you want to keep going back to between bites. The gem salad was crunchy, fresh, and delightful with the cultured cream vinaigrette, herbs, aged sheep’s milk cheese, sesame, asparagus, and challah breadcrumbs, though not the showstopper of the meal. The Last Word was one of the best I’ve had, balanced, sharp, and beautifully made. And the strawberry millet tres leches completely surprised me. It had subtle strawberry, that perfect moist texture, and a little crunch in the middle that made it far more memorable than I expected. Saffy’s feels popular for a reason. The food is bold without feeling heavy, the flavors are thoughtful, and the best dishes have that rare mix of soul and precision. More on social media: @ratedbymaryam”
“This is a must go, I almost don’t want to review it because it was already so busy. Food was incredible, service attentive but not annoying, awesome vibe. My only complaint was it was really loud inside, I recommend a patio seat if you can get one.”
“Food was amazing. Amazing attentive staff. Hummus and Challah bread is solid 👌 the sodas are unique and taste great. The salad is very solid. Each bite is crisp and the dressing coats each leaf well. The asian pears are also a nice touch. Chicken Skewers were great and it was juicy. Tender, and full of flavor. The mandarin sorbet just fell a little short for me as a cohesive dessert. But overall a good solid choice.”
“**Review for Staffy’s** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nestled in the heart of the city, Staffy’s is a charming restaurant that captures the essence of home away from home. From the moment we stepped inside, we were met with the warmth of the staff and a cozy ambiance that instantly set the tone for a delightful dining experience. Ben, our server, was not only attentive but also radiated an infectious passion for the food. He made us feel welcomed, like old friends catching up over a meal. Casey took our order with a smile, guiding us through the menu with a genuine enthusiasm that made selecting our dishes all the more enjoyable. We started with the chai tea—an exquisite blend where the cinnamon wove its way through each sip, creating a tapestry of flavor that warmed the soul. Lyann chose the chicken pita, which was bursting with taste, while I opted for a recommendation from the staff that turned out to be life-changing—the beef and magical lamb pita. Each bite was a revelation, leaving us both blissfully satisfied. As a delightful twist, Casey suggested trying a turmeric pickle back—a shot of whiskey accompanied by their house-made pickle juice. I decided to indulge in the pickle shot alone, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazing! The tangy burst of flavor was a surprising and delightful complement to our meal. The combination of fantastic food and exceptional service at Staffy’s truly sets it apart. It’s a place where good food meets great company, and I can’t wait to return for another culinary adventure. If you’re looking for a dining experience that feels like a warm embrace, put Staffy’s at the top of your list!”
“Another one on my todo list, the youngest sibling of Bestia and Bavel. Definitely seemed very popular and hence crowded. We sat outside and our waitress was attentive, provided excellent guidance. The food was outstanding: Examples included hummus and green tahini, hummus full, Peruvian scallop crudo, green falafel, tempura kabocha squash and fennel, wood-fired yellow cauliflower, chicken shashlik and lamb kebab. And the desserts did not last long either. (Originally posted by me on yelp)”
