Supra showcases Georgian cuisine—think countless vegetable plates, stuffed cheese breads (khachapuri), soup dumplings (khinkali), grilled meats, and other classics with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences—and the wines of the world’s oldest wine region. Supra's warm interior features regional artwork and decor, plus a mural from Georgian street artist Gagosh.
“A friend recommended this place and said it had Michelin recognition but without crazy prices, so I had to check it out. Came around 6 pm for dinner and ordered the pork & beef khinkali, pork shashlik, and an Obolon beer (always nice to randomly find Ukrainian beer abroad). First impression: the atmosphere is probably the strongest part of this place. Great lighting, lively but not overly loud, feels like a place where you actually want to sit for a while and enjoy dinner. Definitely a 5/5 on vibe. Food was good, but for me more like a solid 4/5. The presentation looked great, the pork kebab was tasty overall, although there were a few chewy parts. Khinkali were good too. Nothing disappointing, just not mind-blowing considering how much people hype it up. The beer hit the spot though. Spent around $60 before tip for one person. Overall, I’d come back — maybe more for the atmosphere and experience than specifically for the food. Good dinner spot in DC.”
“We nabbed a late dinner reservation here after hearing about it from a waiter at another restaurant. We sat in the covered patio and had a great time! My favorite item by far was the pork and beef khinkali/soup dumpling. It was huge and had a ton of savory soup and meat. I also really liked the ajaruli khachapuri (cheese and egg boat -- super hot and creamy with chewy bread) and the lobio kotanshi (stewed kidney beans -- nice and savory with plenty of fun accompaniments). Some other crowd favorites were the appetizer platter (the vegan patés and the eggplant were particularly popular) and the potatoes tkemalit (very unique flavors!). We also got the mixed grill platter, where I thought the chicken was the best -- super juicy. We thought the mushroom chakapuli would be our favorite, but it was a quite sour soup. The lobio mtsvane (green beans and eggs) was pretty good but outshined by other dishes. This was a great place to go with a group and try many things! I'll echo other reviewers and recommend the soup dumplings and cheese boat. You can't go wrong here, but those will definitely get you started on a path to a great meal.”
“Absolutely incredible authentic Georgian cuisine. Every dish was clearly made with care and attention to detail. The waitstaff was attentive and unhurried, adding to the relaxed atmosphere of the beautifully decorated restaurant. 5 stars is an understatement for this MUST GO gem in DC. 10/10!!”
“We’ve visited Supra twice already this month, and every time the experience has been amazing. The food is incredibly flavorful, satisfying, and beautifully presented you can truly feel the care in every detail. I especially want to recognize Ana for her outstanding service. She is attentive to every detail and always there exactly when you need her. She gave fantastic recommendations that made choosing dishes easy and enjoyable. And a special thank you to GM Sergei, who always welcomes us with a warm smile and checks in throughout the evening to make sure everything is perfect. Supra has officially become our favorite restaurant again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.”
“Had high hopes but this was a letdown Review: I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Supra was genuinely baffling. For a restaurant with this much hype in DC, the reality was unfortunate. To start, the service was painfully slow. We sat there twiddling our thumbs for 30 minutes just waiting for a starter to hit the table. When the food finally arrived, it became instantly clear that this place is all about the markup and zero about the quality. It’s way overpriced for incredibly basic food— bread with cheese, kebabs. Honestly, it felt like everything was just pulled out of a freezer and reheated in the back. The disappointment didn't stop at the food. The wine was mediocre at best and wildly overpriced for the pour. To top it all off, the atmosphere feels cheap and unfinished—they don't even bother putting tablecloths on the tables. It feels like management is just coasting on the novelty of Georgian food, serving frozen-quality meals at fine-dining prices, and cashing out. I would not return”
