“What an amazing experience. I highly recommend the Omakase dinner. Chiefs carefully prepared each individual piece with the perfect balance of flavours 👌 The soy sauce with 25 years of fermentation, the Japanese lime, the very subtle hint of wasabi, in addition to various fresh sea delicacies - everything is made to perfection. Grab a sit at the bar, watch the preparation techniques, explore the flavors of all kinds of sea creatures. We were lucky to visit this place in season for the Firefly Squid. It was delicious. I also really like torched salmon and Black Seabream. Check out the pics, each piece has unique texture and flavor.”
“such a nice experience! after tax and tip, it was $171, so a little pricey but i would say worth it since it was 19 courses. some courses started tasting the same after course 9, and some fish were chewier than others (not my favorite), but still great overall.”
“A nice little hole in the wall sushi joint that really packs a punch!! Their lunch omakase special is a must try, especially at $55 pp. Everything from the fish to the presentation to the flavor is top notch! Rivals the bigger name sushi places in DC. A true gem. Do not miss!”
“Attended a special 'Battle of the Salmon' omakase dinner last night because we’re friendly with the sake importer but let me tell you—DC is obsessed with omakase but few are doing it as right as Sushi Snob. Truly an exceptional experience. Insane quality of fish, creative dishes, calm and intimate casual setting. This is an IYKYK kind of place—cannot WAIT to come back!”
“A very modest space on M St NW, but the food and personality were above and beyond. The omakase & sushi set for dinner is pricy, but it was a worthy experience. I dined solo, and the team behind the counter were engaging with all eleven diners; I had a lot of fun conversations. Sushi and sake curation were perfect and apparently can change daily and seasonally. Bravo!”
