Vishal was incredibly informative regarding the menu and gave great recommendations to set off our birthday lunch ! His personality was friendly with just the right amount of attentiveness! He paid close attention to allergies and ensured we didn’t select options with any potential to cause a reaction. Food was delightfully original and familiar at the same time! “Had a wonderful experience at Tamashaa Indian Restro & Bar in Washington DC! The ambiance was vibrant and classy, the service was warm and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried the Sev Puri, Lychee Martini , Lotus Stem Kofta, Hyderabadi Eggplant, Vegetable Biryani, Garlic Naan, and Tandoori Roti — every dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The food had a great Indianized touch with authentic taste and beautiful presentation. Definitely a great place to enjoy good Indian food with friends and family. Highly recommend for both the food and the overall dining experience!”

“Tamasha is easily one of the best Indian dining experiences in Washington. The Delhi‑style butter chicken is rich, authentic, and full of nostalgia, and the black garlic naan pairs with it perfectly. The crispy okra and potato chaat were absolute standouts — fresh, crunchy, and bursting with flavor. Their drinks menu is just as impressive. The Chat and Sukoon cocktails are beautifully crafted, and the mythology‑inspired mocktails — Draupadi, Kunti, and Pandava — are unique, refreshing, and genuinely fun to try. To end on a high note, the carrot cake was unbelievably good — moist, warm, and one of the best I’ve had in the city. Overall, Tamasha delivers amazing food, creative drinks, and a vibrant atmosphere. A must‑visit if you love Indian cuisine done with style.”

“Tamashaa stands out as a premier Indian fine dining establishment situated in the heart of DC. For parking, street options are available, and should those be full, several private parking lots are conveniently located nearby. The staff consistently demonstrates a high level of courtesy, helpfulness, and friendliness. The ambiance is truly exceptional, earning a perfect 5/5 rating, and features a distinctive Indian aesthetic. Regarding beverages, they offer an impressive selection of cocktails. The cocktail menu itself is particularly noteworthy for its creative presentation and the evident thought invested in its design. The Chaat Margarita is a personal favorite. The food menu provides a wide array of choices, with both small and large plates designed to cater to diverse palates. Among the small plates, the vadapav sliders, panipuri shots, and crispy okra with potato salad are highly recommended. From the main course selections, the butter chicken, chicken tikka, amo paneer tikka, and black dal were all commendable, with the black dal being a personal highlight. The amul cheese naan is also a must-try from their bread offerings. For dessert, both the gulab jamun and mango srikhand were beautifully presented and tasted outstanding, with the gulab jamun being a particular favorite. In conclusion, I believe Tamashaa offers the finest authentic Indian fine dining experience in the city.”

“When it comes to taste Tamasha by far must be the best north Indian food spot in DC. The have gone the non typical menu route having menu items that are not your typical butter chicken and paneer. We ordered two appetizers and one main between the two of us plus two drinks. The ghewar chat was just like any chat nothing bad or good. The broccoli was amazing buttery, flavourful with a slight hit of heat at the end. For main we ordered the lotus kofta which was amazing. Good deep flavors and a rich gravy with twist to the kofta. And now to the best part the butter garlic nan and kulcha. I haven't had such good naan and kulcha at any other restaurant. Perfectly light, with a much needed glaze of butter and crisped. All of the above compliments with their service staff. Overall amazing. They definitely have better taste and menu then Rasika but only lack out in ambience. It is on the pricier side with a range of 50-65$ per person for a full meal.”
