“Had a chance to check out Dead Horse Hill Restaurant in downtown Worcester today after attending a live mixer break put on by Legendary Sports Collectibles. Kyle, aka Boston, ran the break and it was absolutely popping. No surprise there. Then I met Jared, the owner, who helped put the whole event together. Great guy and it was easy to see why the place has such a great reputation. By 2:30 I was hungry, so I did the smart thing and ordered a burger. Outstanding. The burger was off the charts and the fries were the real deal — hot, fresh, and salted perfectly. To make things even more interesting, I forgot my credit card and had to go back around 6:30. The place was buzzing. Great food. Great vibe. Great people. “Incredible dinner, we ended up here sort of by chance. Stopped for a quick meal ahead of a show at the Hanover theater, and it was just memorable. We will try make it a tradition and come up every so often from Boston. That’s how good it was (we had the spatzel 10/10, burger and fries 10/10 and the desert to die for, cheesecake with fried pistachio) Plus, service was impeccable. Everyone was so nice, accomodating to us being in a rush, tablewear and just general ambience was also so cute. Such a gem!! Can’t recommend enough!”

“This is the best restaurant in Worcester, conveniently located near Mechanics Hall. Had the oysters, they were supurb. Also had the rainbow trout, excellent. Finished with the chocolate cake which was good.”

“Our bartender (whose name I can’t recall but was listed as Bar T on the receipt) was excellent, and the sundress mocktail was delicious. The spätzle is disgustingly greasy and ridiculously overpriced for what was originally a peasant dish, and a small portion at that for $19. The 20% service fee is fine I guess, but none of it goes directly to your server/bartender, it’s all dispersed amongst the whole staff.”
